Great location (close to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and Cathedral). Chose this hotel as it has a car park (£15 per night) and is dog friendly (£10 per night). Staff were always friendly & helpful. The car park is accessed from behind the hotel on a parallel street (just keep following the one-way road around). Comfy, clean bedding. Tea/coffee in room but also available for free in reception. There is a Tesco Express on the same road which was helpful.

I tried to check in slightly earlier than expected. An Asian man greeted me to advise that check in was 3pm and there would be a charge to check me in any earlier. He didn’t even check to see if my room was available. He couldn’t understand English very well and I had to keep repeating myself. Not a great start to my stay! The room was of a satisfactory standard with a good shower. Breakfast was limited, especially for a vegetarian! The hash browns were under cooked, there was only one choice of egg and the beans were cold. The fruit was of poor quality with limited choice. The hotel is ideally located close to the library and Birmingham museum and art gallery. The shopping area is about 15 minutes walk away. The stay was okay but I certainly wouldn’t pay any more than £80 a night!

We were really impressed by this place. We were attending a concert at Utilita, easy walk there and we could leave the dog in whilst we went to the gig. (he just goes to sleep). Good value, friendly staff, good late night bar for a night cap. Also a really nice pub next door. Great stuff, will be back.

The overall hotel its self was great, just the room i had, the aircon unit in the ceiling leaked whike the aircon was on, coukd do with windiws that open. Only for the fact that when you come back to your room its extremely stuffy and the aircon only cools it. As they provide travel cots there , i used one of theres which saved me the hassle of taking mine, downfall on that was they didn't have a travel cot mattress with the travel cot, so my baby had to sleep on bed sheets and towels that they used to try make it comfortable. Not impressed. Last of all £15 a night for there carpark even thought i was a guest staying. Extortionate pricing and unreasonable considering i was staying there. Beds was comfortable, breakfast was average.

As someone who doesn't stay in hotels very often, I had no idea about the energy saving gadget on the wall that need me keycard to work. I felt a bit silly when i had to go back downstairs and ask. Probably should be explained at check in. Clean, nice room, great shower, overall really good.

Stayed here a few nights and enjoyed it. Air conditioning working as it should but missed being able to open a window to get some air. Bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. Amazing shower and loved how the bathroom is configured. Parking is £15 per night and is valid up till midnight even when checking out. Breakfast was ok, caters for everyone. Yeah I would stay here again.
