The location for this hotel works really well for the city. I enjoyed exploring the canal network nearby. The actual building itself is stylish, the underground parking worked really well and I didn't think that £15 for 24 hours was expensive. Unfortunately only one lift to the accommodation was working... And this was creaking and groaning a lot! The room was simple but spacious and comfortable. The only negative for me was the lack of a safe in the room. I would stay here again.

Comfortable room with plenty of space…hadn’t realised the car park would be extra and because I was attending a conference at NEC, it was literally only in the car park from 6pm till 8am

A functional quiet stay and really good shower. Just nothing special! We got a really cheap rate which was great. Checked in online to indicate we would be arriving early. Arrived at 2pm and disappointed to hear we'd have to pay £10 to check in early. Pretty sure the room was ready anyway! Shame the hotel is trying to make extra money by being so strict on check in time.

Great location (close to Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery and Cathedral). Chose this hotel as it has a car park (£15 per night) and is dog friendly (£10 per night). Staff were always friendly & helpful. The car park is accessed from behind the hotel on a parallel street (just keep following the one-way road around). Comfy, clean bedding. Tea/coffee in room but also available for free in reception. There is a Tesco Express on the same road which was helpful.

I tried to check in slightly earlier than expected. An Asian man greeted me to advise that check in was 3pm and there would be a charge to check me in any earlier. He didn’t even check to see if my room was available. He couldn’t understand English very well and I had to keep repeating myself. Not a great start to my stay! The room was of a satisfactory standard with a good shower. Breakfast was limited, especially for a vegetarian! The hash browns were under cooked, there was only one choice of egg and the beans were cold. The fruit was of poor quality with limited choice. The hotel is ideally located close to the library and Birmingham museum and art gallery. The shopping area is about 15 minutes walk away. The stay was okay but I certainly wouldn’t pay any more than £80 a night!
