Highly recommended!! The hotel is very clean, and what I love about the Aston Group is that they offer refillable drinking water. So you don't have to worry about bringing water from outside. Plus, the location is very strategic, just a short walk to DP Mall and lots of delicious food nearby.

As a repeat guest, I chose Hotel Neo Candi Simpang Lima Semarang again and was not disappointed. I stayed on July 21–22, 2026, in a Superior Premiere Room, which included breakfast for two. I originally came to Semarang for treatment at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital, but because the doctor was suddenly on leave, I ended up taking advantage of the time for a staycation at the hotel. The service was very friendly and professional from check-in. I also received a surprise welcome pizza from the hotel, which was an added bonus and made my stay even more memorable. The room was clean and comfortable, with a soft bed, very cool air conditioning, fast and stable Wi-Fi, and a Smart TV. The view from the room was also very beautiful, even with a mountain view, which made the atmosphere even more relaxing. Breakfast was quite delicious with a variety of menu options. The hotel's location is also very strategic, close to Dr. Kariadi General Hospital, various tourist attractions in Semarang, the Superindo Supermarket (which is integrated with the hotel), and many cafes and restaurants nearby. Although it's still more convenient to get to these places by car, access is very easy. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. This hotel offers excellent service, complete facilities, comfortable rooms, and a strategic location. It's highly recommended for business, medical treatment, or a staycation with family or friends. Thank you to the entire team at Hotel Neo Candi Simpang Lima Semarang. Top Markotop! I will definitely stay again.

More about hotels in Susukan

Discover Susukan: A Gateway to Indonesian Charm for Filipino Travellers

For Filipino travellers seeking a unique Indonesian adventure beyond the usual tourist trails, Susukan presents a compelling proposition. This region offers a diverse mix of cultural experiences, culinary delights, and natural beauty that resonates with the adventurous spirit. Unlike the bustling metropolises or well-trodden beach destinations, Susukan provides a more authentic glimpse into Indonesian life, blending traditional charm with developing modern amenities. It’s a place where you can explore local markets, witness traditional crafts, and savour regional specialties, all within a setting that feels both accessible and intriguingly different from home.

Susukan itself is not a monolithic entity but a mosaic of distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a unique flavour and atmosphere. From the central hubs like Randusari and Pekunden, buzzing with commercial activity and modern conveniences, to the more tranquil enclaves of Candisari and Pandansari, the region caters to diverse preferences. Areas like Gajahmungkur and Pleburan offer a blend of residential calm and accessibility, while Jagalan provides a glimpse into a more traditional urban setting. Understanding these variations is key to crafting your ideal stay, as each district shapes your daily exploration and immersion into the local way of life.

The economic landscape of Susukan also presents an attractive proposition for international visitors. With a starting price of approximately ₱ 582.69 per night, it offers exceptional value, particularly when compared to popular destinations in Southeast Asia or further afield. For travellers from the United States, Europe, or India, this affordability translates into greater flexibility for extending stays, indulging in local cuisine, or exploring more attractions without straining the budget. Susukan stands out as a destination where your Philippine Peso can stretch further, allowing for a richer and more comprehensive travel experience.

The accommodation spectrum in Susukan is broad, exemplified by properties like the OYO 95054 Prima Jaya Homestay Syariah. This establishment, with its highly-rated 8.5 score from over 7,000 reviews, offers a glimpse into the accessible and well-regarded lodging options available. It represents the kind of value and quality that many travellers seek, providing a comfortable base without a hefty price tag. For those ready to explore these diverse offerings, the opportunity to book hotel rooms that suit every budget and preference is readily available through platforms like Traveloka.

Ultimately, Susukan is a destination that appeals to a wide array of international travellers. For Americans and Europeans, it offers a chance to delve into a less-explored facet of Southeast Asia, with opportunities for cultural immersion and historical discovery. Indian travellers will find familiar warmth in the local hospitality and a diverse culinary scene, all at a budget-friendly price point. While direct connections might be less common for African travellers, the region's accessibility and value make it a worthwhile consideration for those seeking an authentic Indonesian experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

Best Areas to Stay in Susukan

Susukan, while a region rather than a single city, is comprised of distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a unique character and set of amenities that can significantly shape your travel experience. For international visitors, understanding these areas is crucial for selecting a base that aligns with your interests, whether you seek vibrant city life, cultural immersion, or a tranquil retreat. From the bustling commercial centres to quieter residential pockets, choosing the right neighbourhood in Susukan is the first step towards unlocking its diverse offerings.
