Location: Perfect. Because it's near Burnham Park, Good Taste restaurant, Foam Coffee, Harrison Street, Baguio Night Market, Session Road, Vizco's, Baguio Cathedral, sm baguio. Also, beside it, is a grocery store.💯. Food: Perfect. Because you can get as much as what you can consume. They served garlic rice, steamed rice, scrambled eggs, dried fish, hotdogs, pork steak, breads and jams, coffee, juice, salad and fruits.💯. Room: Good. Because I'm not sure if other parts of the room is clean. But definitely the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The AC unit was loud from time to time. And, there's no room slippers provided. Also, they need to change their old towels, and their busted lights as well. Good thing their bed linens and comforters are clean. Staffs: Perfect. (Even if my request was not followed.) Front desk ladies were kind and accommodating. Every staff we see greets us politely.💯. Thank you, Hotel Veniz Burnham!

Other must-try items include the Ube (purple yam) delicacies, Pinikpikan (a traditional chicken soup), and various grilled meats and vegetables. The city, while generally welcoming, has its own set of social norms and practical considerations that can enhance your visit and ensure a smooth journey. Being aware of these aspects will allow for more respectful interactions and a more secure travel experience.

Filipino culture emphasizes politeness and respect, often referred to as "pakikisama." This translates to being considerate of others, avoiding loud or disruptive behaviour, and showing deference to elders. When visiting religious sites, dressing modestly is important, covering shoulders and knees. Bargaining is common in markets, but always do so politely and with a smile. Understanding these nuances will foster positive interactions with locals and contribute to a richer cultural immersion.

Safety in Baguio City Proper is generally good, but standard precautions apply. Keep valuables secure and be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas like markets or bus terminals. For transportation, reputable taxi services and ride-hailing apps like Grab are widely available and offer a safe way to get around. Stick to well-lit and populated areas at night. For any emergencies, local police and emergency services are accessible, and having a local SIM card can be invaluable for communication.

For international travellers, it's always wise to have emergency contact information readily available. This includes local police numbers and the contact details for your respective embassy or consulate in the Philippines. While Baguio is relatively safe, having this information can provide peace of mind. It's also recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, ensuring you are prepared for any eventuality during your stay.

This period coincides with peak tourist season, so expect larger crowds and potentially higher hotel prices. The city's cool climate makes it a year-round destination, but the rainy season (June to October) can bring heavy downpours.

Before departing for Baguio City Proper, ensure you have the local currency, Philippine Peso (PHP), readily available.
