Awesome service. Will keep coming back if only for the friendly and helpful staff. Also, great view in the Twin Deluxe mountain view room we got. 24-hour Benguet coffee is also available at the cafe/lounge. The chef was also accommodating to our request to veganize some of their dishes.

Location: Perfect. Because it's near Burnham Park, Good Taste restaurant, Foam Coffee, Harrison Street, Baguio Night Market, Session Road, Vizco's, Baguio Cathedral, sm baguio. Also, beside it, is a grocery store.💯. Food: Perfect. Because you can get as much as what you can consume. They served garlic rice, steamed rice, scrambled eggs, dried fish, hotdogs, pork steak, breads and jams, coffee, juice, salad and fruits.💯. Room: Good. Because I'm not sure if other parts of the room is clean. But definitely the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The AC unit was loud from time to time. And, there's no room slippers provided. Also, they need to change their old towels, and their busted lights as well. Good thing their bed linens and comforters are clean. Staffs: Perfect. (Even if my request was not followed.) Front desk ladies were kind and accommodating. Every staff we see greets us politely.💯. Thank you, Hotel Veniz Burnham!

Baguio City Proper: The Philippines' Summer Capital for the Global Explorer

Baguio City Proper, often hailed as the Philippines' Summer Capital, offers a refreshing escape from the tropical heat, presenting a unique blend of cool mountain air, verdant landscapes, and a rich cultural heritage that appeals to international travellers. Unlike the bustling metropolises or pristine beaches that define much of the archipelago, Baguio provides a distinctively temperate climate and a more laid-back, almost European-esque ambiance. This city is a gateway to understanding the Cordillera region's indigenous cultures, a place where pine trees scent the air and mist often drapes the hillsides, creating a picturesque setting that feels a world away from the usual Southeast Asian itinerary.

The diverse character of Baguio City Proper is best understood by exploring its varied neighbourhoods. From the lively commercial hubs like Legarda-Burnham-Kisad, buzzing with activity and close to iconic landmarks, to the more tranquil residential enclaves such as Santa Escolastica or Greenwater Village, each district offers a different facet of city life. Areas like Rizal Monument Area provide historical context, while Asin Road might offer a more artistic or artisanal feel. Even within broader areas like General Emilio F. Aguinaldo, which encompasses sub-districts like Quirino-Magsaysay and General Luna, one can find distinct pockets of local life. Understanding these nuances is key to crafting a truly immersive experience.

With an average starting price of ₱ 3,279.54 per night and a solid review score of 7.7 from over 500 guests, Baguio City Proper stands out as a remarkably accessible destination for international visitors seeking value. For travellers from the United States, Europe, or India, this price point offers considerable purchasing power, allowing for longer stays or the indulgence in more activities and dining experiences than might be possible in more expensive global destinations. The city provides a comfortable and engaging experience without the hefty price tag often associated with popular tourist spots, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious yet discerning explorers.

The accommodation landscape in Baguio City Proper is as varied as its terrain, catering to a wide spectrum of preferences and budgets. For instance, Chalet Baguio offers a comfortable 3-star experience with amenities like business facilities and a fitness center, reflecting a reliable standard for travellers. On the other end of the spectrum, properties like the 3BR unit 7 Jefrell apartments, a 2-star option, surprise with high ratings and unique features such as a rooftop terrace, demonstrating that excellent value and unique stays can be found across different star categories. This range ensures that whether you're looking for a full-service hotel or a more independent apartment, you can book hotel accommodations that fit your needs.

Baguio City Proper is a destination that resonates with a broad range of international travellers. For those from the United States and Europe, its cool climate, pine-scented air, and proximity to natural attractions offer a welcome respite and a chance to explore a different side of Asian culture. Indian travellers will find the city's connectivity, diverse culinary scene, and affordable accommodation particularly appealing, mirroring some of the comforts of home while offering new experiences. While direct comparisons for African travellers might be less common, the appeal of a temperate climate, cultural exploration, and value for money are universal draws that Baguio City Proper delivers effectively.
