Great hotel, excellent food, nice location
Had an awesome experience!...
Very nice! Highly Recommended for families
This is our 2nd time to stay in this hotel. As expected, we really enjoyed our stay and everything went well from the services up to the resort's facilities. We will definitely recommend this hotel. The food is superb!
Location is good , center of station 2. Room not good, we had to move other room. Not good service at all
We booked superior room. Room furnitures look old however, the overall look of the room is okay. It is well maintained. The bathroom is spacious. The breakfast buffet is superb. There's a a lot of options to choose from and the food tastes good. The service is great as well. We availed of the airport transfer and it went smoothly. Will definitely go back.
Everything is perfect. Excellent service.
The hotel is so big, one can get lost. But the amenities are great - big and nice pools, with gym (though did not use this facility), restaurant and bar. Breakfast buffet was also great. Just had a problem during check-in.
Good but it's great to stay at henann lagoon. Food at regency more choices.
Foods are great. Cool performance of the dancing chef. Great hotel!

Fantastic Resort! Fabulous location!
The resort is fabulous located within walking distance to the d'mall markets and has it's own beach access and deck chairs! Our room was 113 which was super close to the beach however if you want a quiet room then you're best to request one further away towards the back as the pounding music from the Wave bar can be heard and sometimes even felt from this distance. In saying that our two year old son had no problems sleeping through it and neither did we. The staff are all super attentive and very courteous! Cocktails from the pool bars were always well mixed and the food was delicious. Room service was prompt and the few dishes we did order were yummy! Sea Breeze has the most amazing buffet breakfast spread. Well done Henann Regency Resort & Spa! We will be back!

Boracay Vacation
My wife and I stayed at Henann Regency for five nights while vacationing in Boracay. Overall, the experience was very good and we particularly liked the location in Station 2. The breakfast was included and we had a choice of two restaurants: The buffet or Christina’s. Both of preferred the latter since they served our food and it was quiet. The meals were all very good! This hotel is not a five star, but could be. Although the staff was always friendly, I knew we should get a welcome drink upon arrival. They didn’t offer it and I had to ask. Not good. The rooms could be updated. The door to the balcony was not sealed and furnishings seemed somewhat dated. The bed was acceptable, but not as comfortable as the one at Red Planet, an economy hotel we stay at in Manila. The hotel is quite large and spread out with multiple swimming pools. Overall, a good experience.

Birthday Celebration in Paradise
My husband and I stayed here recently for my birthday celebration . The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of all the action on Station 2. This was my 3rd visit to Bora and my previous stays some years ago have been in Station 1 at Discovery Shores. This time we wanted to experience Station 2 for my husband’s first visit. This resort turned out to be a great choice in Station 2. The Hennan Regency is part of a complex connected to the Hennan Garden. The Regency itself was apparently another hotel in the past. Our junior suite overlooked the swim-up bar and jacuzzi area. Our suite had both contemporary and classic touches. The wood gave it a nice native character although there were scratches that show some wear over the years. There was a mustiness in the room and there was mold on the privacy shade above the bathtub which made me deduct one star. The humidity in Bora probably causes the mustiness and mold. My asthma was triggered one night and I figured the mold may have been the cause. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable. The staff was, overall, quite pleasant and courteous especially the staff at the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the snacks and drinks at the VIP Lounge. We liked our massages at Kai Spa. The hotel is beachfront and we loved being able to swim in the warm crystal azure waters everyday. We would recommend this hotel for those who want to stay in Station 2.

This was recommended by my brother and his fiance, they booked the junior suite and they loved it so we were expecting that we'll get the same service too, but when we checked in we we're dissapointed! I guess they will give you a better service if you will book a suite room, because for us we booked the room with pool access and they gave us a TERRIBLE SERVICE! We wanted to stay at the east wing with pool access and that's what we booked in agoda, we relied on the photos and we liked it, but they said that the only available is the north pool access premiere, we paid 250 cad for a night just for the room that we didnt like! If you'll put a photo of the room, kindly make it accurate to what we are getting, you could have put an east wing photo or a north wing photo for customers who would like to pay for the room they like to choose, and the lady at the reception named Mary is very unprofessional! We told her our complaint and she just said “alam na po ng management yan” like seriously!? It's just like you’re telling us na wag na kame mag sabe ng complaints namen! Fyi! We are paying customers so we dont deserve a BAD SERVICE!!!! We went to the other receptionist to ask if the room we like was available, he said to wait, and he’ll just give us a call once there’s a confirmation from the manager about the room. We waited for half an hour for a call! We went back to check and they thought we already checked in! Naghihintay kame ng call nila pero wala! kung hindi pa namen tatanungin ulet maghihintay kame ng matagal dun! VERY INCOMPETENT! I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! POOR MANAGEMENT! Pricey for a bad service! We wanted to cancel the booking but unfortunately we can’t! And one more thing, they dont give welcome drinks, this hotel is not a 5 star hotel as they claim it to be, i would say don't waste your money to this cheap hotel if you dont want to ruin your holiday, not worth every penny! They just ruined our holiday!

NOT a five star resort -
First I have to say that when you stay at a five star rated resort in the Philippines the expectations you have must be adjusted to the rating guides for the Philippines. In Europe, for example, the standards to achieve receiving a five star rating is far more stringent than in the Philippines. In the Philippines the description for a five star hotel is: ‘Reflects characteristics of "luxury and sophistication". Facilities are deemed "world class in every manner" and services are deemed meticulous and "exceeding all guests' expectations". ‘ The Henan Regency failed hands down to meet these criteria, hence my two star rating. Check in: I booked a suite on Expedia and that is exactly what I got. Check in took less than five minutes and I was escorted to the room by two gentlemen. The check in experience for my stay off to a great start. The room: I knew my room would not be on the beach or have a beach view, as this was the description of the room on Expedia. The nice men helping me with my check in experience confirmed that the resort does not have any rooms with beach view. The room they put me up in (room 200) was a very nicely appointed suite with a separate living room, a bedroom, one full bath and one half bath. The view was of the pool and the room had a little terrace with seating for two. Some of the fixtures in the room had seen better days, but nothing broken. The room could have used some minor clean up, a couple dust bunnies in the ceiling/wall corners, but I’d still consider the room clean. Day one: No hot water and the master bathroom is weird. When I got into the hotel room, following the lengthy trip from Cebu, all I wanted was a hot shower. That was not going to happen as there was zero hot water from the Rain Shower Head. Then I tried to wash up and shave using the sink and realized that the faucet in the master bathroom is so short that the water (at full tilt) barely misses the edge of the counter. This made is very challenging to wash and shave without making mess. When the faucet drips (as it did constantly) it actually drips onto the counter and not into the sink, and makes it’s way onto the floor. Seems like the carpenters put the holes fo the faucet set too far back from the hole for the sink. Once they figured this out this could have been remedied by installing longer faucet, but obviously no one bothered. No attention to detail here, see picture attached. I called the front desk to let them know I had no hot water, they said someone would be right up. Day two: Still no hot water and how I have a small ant farm...... I come back from diving all day and I wanted that hot shower I did not get the day before. I was denied, again. In addition, the empty coke can I left on the counter had attracted ants. This is the Philippines, so ants come from time to time. This is the first time I have experienced a small ant farm at a five star resort. I removed the coke can, rinsed it put and put it in the garbage. I think housekeeping noticed the ants and sprayed something as the ants did not re-appear. I called for the second time to get my hot water fixed, this time with a bit more enthusiasm. Day three: Hot water!!! Finally! After spending the day diving I get back to a hot shower. It was a spiritual experience, finally. I have spent a lot of time in the Philippines, so I am used to places without hot water, but I have never spent time at resort with more than two starts with a malfunctioning hot water system. The facilities: Outside the room the resort continues to disappoint. I literally bumped my head on a common area chandelier. I am a measly 5’11” (180cm), and I have never stayed in a place where I hit my head on the light fixtures. See the picture attached for a visual demonstration. Someone should have seen, and fixed, this long ago. There are several areas where leaking water has damaged walls and ceilings. On the outside there is significant water damage and mold. Some spots the mold is so prevalent that there is plant life growing in the cracks. Green fungi looking stuff running down the walls and stucco layers falling off the walls just shows that the maintenance of this place is way behind. See pictures for visuals. Dining experience: When compared to other five star resorts the dining experience just plain sucks. The variety and availability of food is lacking. If you are used to buffets from the Shangri-La or the Peninsula you will be disappointed. The service is excruciatingly slow, expect to wait for 8-10 minutes for a cappuccino or espresso for breakfast. The strange thing is that you have to sign a zero charge detailed receipt for each specialty drink that comes seconds after your drink. It seems that bookkeeping has a much higher priority than actually getting the customers their drinks. There is only ONE restaurant where you can get the included breakfast buffet for the entire hotel. It is crowded constantly and the staff really struggles to keep the selections available for guests, preparing coffee and those silly zero charge bills guess have to sign. Often I would want something and all the plates would be picked clean (see pictures). This place really needs a second restaurant for guests to enjoy their buffet meals so the staff at least have a prayer to keep the service level up. The paid all inclusive lunch buffet is exactly the same way, only now all drinks except water, is being charged. I drank two cokes and an espresso and paid more for two drinks than I paid for the meal. The same appalling service and bookkeeping system still in full effect. The stay disappointed to say the least. In the Philippines the Henann Group resorts are considered top shelf, which is why I chose to stay there. I’d say the facilities are more of a four star hotel with three star service based on my experience. One tip: when you arrive at the Boracay airport DO take the Henann shuttle to the hotel. It is much faster and luxurious than trying to make it on your own. If you don’t want to pay more per night for the shuttle pay the 1300php (per person) for the round trip when you get there. I will not be coming back to this hotel.
