Hotels near SMDC Light Mall

Well, we arrived very early around 5am in the morning. When we got out of the car, I thought that we were at the wrong place because the building was dimly lit, the door was closed, and I didn't see anyone at the front desk. I looked and looked if someone was inside so when I saw someone sleeping, I knocked at the glass and eventually woke them up; the guard maybe and the lady at the desk. The rooms are quite small. There's no elevator. I've been to hotels at the same price but are more spacious, has an elevator, fast wifi, complete glass/kettle/tea coffee and fridge for guests' use.

Stayed here overnight in Team Villa with my family on my birthday. First floor has a couch, tv, dining table, refrigerator, microwave and a small bathroom. Second floor had a bigger bathroom with six beds and a tv as well. The room was clean and spacious enough to fit 7 members of my family. The breakfast was delicious and staff were all friendly and accommodating. The blankets were just too thin on the Team Villa and the AC is quite cold. I was shivering the whole night. 😅 Because there was an ashfall the week prior, we also couldn't use the pool. Too bad, my siblings noticed that other guests were able to go to the pool even though the staff said it's closed.

I am indeed satisfied with the service they have provided. All the staffs are all nice and very well accommodated. I just like to point out their fees for an early check in the cost of 200 pesos per hour. Me and my bf came from the province because I need to report to the office and we decided to travel early to avoid traffics and then came too early in the hotel, we were both sweating, tired and haggard from the hours of travel we had so I decided to pay the fees instead. Hope they'll re-consider to lessen the fee for an early check in. But overall, our stay was so nice.

PROS: - Very accessible to public transpo, malls - Accommodating Property Manager Officer CONS: - Dirty linens/bedsheet/pillow cases - Seems like the unit has NOT been cleaned since the Taal Volcano eruption as evidenced by the volcanic ash in the balcony and dust inside the room - Bidet, electric kettle not working/not replaced - Wifi PW posted inside the room is incorrect. Had to contact PMO for the correct one. - No toiletries provided except a single tissue roll for 2 days stay. For the price it is charging, I expected at the very least, basic toiletries. - Unit only has a single mat/rug for bathroom, none for the unit self, hence wet floors inside. - Pools not available for use during our stay. - Water heater not heating the water enough. - Check in and out process are a hassle, had to wait a long time (45 mins ++) to check out, no concern for other people’s time even though we have informed them ahead of time.

Awesome. Its near EDSA so thats a plus. The room is spacious and clean and tidy.
