I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Taipei! The location was super convenient — close to public transport, night markets, and lots of great food options. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions or recommendations. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the thoughtful little touches like complimentary water, toiletries, and a comfy bed after long days of exploring the city. Highly recommended for solo travelers or anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located place to stay in Taipei. I’d definitely come back!

The location is wonderful, a short 1 minute walk from Ximen station and right at the heart of the Ximending walking district. The room was okay, though the layout was a bit strange with the sink on an island near the entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked an airport transfer for our early morning flight, and the hotel packed breakfast for us to bring along, since we would miss the buffet breakfast.

I like the fact that the hotel is at the center that is near to many places. The surrounding area is incredible, next to the Ximen MRT, halal restaurant I.E. Beef noodle, Ximending night market, 7/11, massage places, etc. And the most important thing is my room was pretty clean and spacious enough.

The basement is a food court. If you don't know what to eat, you can go and eat. The staff were all lovely and well taken care of. The service is excellent. The staff is cheerful, speaks fluent English, and gives easy-to-understand instructions. The room is very clean and comfortable, everything can be adjusted with the iPad available in the room or via the citizenM app. The view from above to see the city and the cars running below is great. What I like most is the bathroom, the water is strong and there is a tropical rain shower that pours water from above, extremely comfortable. I don't want to go out after taking a shower :) Especially, it's close and convenient to go anywhere because it's only a few hundred meters from the MRT station. You can take the MRT, walk, or call Uber if you go further. If you use Uber, remember to check the bill carefully after arriving, if there's anything, report it to the Uber operator immediately. Many drivers see that you are a tourist, so sometimes they think that if you add more money, you won't notice. In general, this citizenM North Gate hotel is great. You should experience it! :)
