I saw some reviews that made me question my choice to stay here, but we had zero problems (well, the bathtub faucet was slow (shower was fine) but I'm not going to get upset about that). Bathroom was very nice. Main part of room was excellent. We had room 902 and it was a spectacular view of just about everything. I do recommend the better/larger room because you get an excellent lania. We sat there for two or three hours and watched a wedding on the party deck of the Hilton a block away. Later spectacular fireworks (which I'm sure was part of the wedding), followed by birds nesting for the night in the trees of the psrk next door, and then the emergrnce of the five foot wing span fruit bats (who do scream at each other through the night, so if you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs). One of the prime benefits of staying here is you're one block away from the Green Island tour operators. Green Islsnd is amazing. We did the Seawalk (don a helmet that allows you to breath normal, wear your glasses, keep your head mostly dry, and see reef life). We then went snorkeling and thoroughly enjoyed that. THEN we jumped in the fresh water pool and lounged around for a few hours before getting back on the catamaran to get back to Cairns. At the entrance to the jetty is a restaurant named Dundees (yeah, named after you know who). One of the most extensive menus we've ever seen. Try the Hop Rock (kangsroo you cook on a lava rock at your table), or the Crocodile Rock. We're 66 and 68.

The property was nice and clean with good amenities. It was 3.5 star quality as the hotel room is a little dated with the bare essentials. While there is not much in the hotel itself, the proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants is perfect. Great location to jetty and very central. The pool is fine and the service from all staff was lovely. Comfortable and affordable which is all we needed. Would stay again as it was still nice.

We had a traveler become sick on check-in day, and asked for our room a couple hours early so they could rest. We said any room, even if it wasn’t the type of room we booked, would be fine. The front desk said they would contact housekeeping to expedite a room, but left us waiting nearly two hours before we could check-in, finally giving us a room only about 30 min before the regular check-in time. I understand we were attempting to check-in early, but I have trouble believing that not a single room in the hotel was ready more that 30 min before their check-in time of 2PM (on a weekday no less). It just seemed like our needs and extenuating circumstances were not prioritized at all.

While most things are walking distance, Pacific is placed in the heart of it all with you only needing to cross the street for the Marina, on the right there’s breakfast, and on the left you have the tour operator office and art gallery. In front you have the scooter rental and the bus stop for your activity pickup is also in front of the building. The room they assigned me faced the car park so there’s no view there but the bathroom was spacious enough and housekeeping came daily.

The room and hotel in general were spotless, and the staff were professional yet friendly. We had many meals in the hotel restaurant ---- each meal was delicious. The servers were charming. We did find two shortcomings: 1. No stand to place your luggage on. 2. No cupboard in which to store your clothing. Because there were no luggage stands, your luggage needed to be placed on counter space that preferably would be used to store clothing, purchases, etc. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
