What Guests Say About Their Stay

Loved that Myer Centre was across the road where they have Cinemas, Funplace & fast food restaurants. Every thing was within walking distance. My only downfall was I was not aware parking was so far from hotel. I have a special needs son who I had to walk with from car park to hotel. I think I would’ve been more prepared as I had quite a few luggage. Maybe need to specify the parking for us with specific needs. Or allow us a drop off point for luggage’s so we don’t stress while walking with them in the busy roads. Praise God for providing ways where I thought would be stressful But other than that, would so book again but with less luggage!lol.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to all amenities with most being walking distance. There are road works being undertaken at the front of the hotel but these did not cause any noise problems. Thankfully I was able to check in early at 07:00 as my room was ready. Staff were well presented, articulate and polite. Hotel was clean and fresh.

Very clean, spacious room, comfortable bed. Love the character with the modern. The dryer was not drying but they offered to dry them in another one which solved the problem. Little issues they need to tend to (small leak under sink, hair dryer not working)

Unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay. The issues ranged from a poor reception experience, getting a faulty bathroom light fixed to being told that hand soap is not provided and I can use a tube of hand wash instead. I cannot recommend it. On the plus side it was a great location with plenty of local meal options.

This is a great hotel that is right in downtown Brisbane! It is spacious and has a washer and dryer in the bathroom. The only complaint was the stains on the carpet. There were so many stains that I am sure it was the reason for the foul odor in the room. Otherwise it is a great place to stay!

I have always loved the Royal Albert and have looked forward to my stays here in the past, but my most recent visit was deeply upsetting. This time, the room was in a state of unacceptable neglect. The issues were visible the moment I walked in: the lampshades were damaged, there were black marks on the ceiling, and the shower grout had mould than could have been dealt with. More concerning was the lack of basic cleanliness; the walls and fixings had layers of dust that could be seen clearly in the lamplight. To make matters worse, the fridge was so badly iced over that it wouldn't even close, meaning the internal light stayed on all night and disrupted my sleep. We brought the fridge issue to the staff's attention the next morning, but frankly, this room needs more than a quick tidy-up—it requires serious maintenance. It hurts to write this because of my long-standing affection for this hotel, but the current standards are distressing. I hope management takes this seriously, as the Royal Albert I know is much better than this. Because of this experience, I am honestly uncertain if I will return in the future.

Great location. We've stayed numerous times and know what to expect Our room this stay was all on one level which we preferred. Some rooms have stairs to go to the bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. If the price stays competitive and in line with the value for $ will keep staying at the Royal Albert.
