When we checked in the Hotel Reception placed us in Room 722 which i had to ask to be moved due to the Smell of Damp. I was then offered a further room which was disgusting and smelt extremely badly of a Drain Issue. The Reception said it was a Brugge! thing which i wasn't very happy with and they decided to move me to room 824. The Room 824 was a lot better and i had to subsequently ask for my Son and his Girlfriend to also be moved due to Dampness. The Standard in the Hotel was very disappointing and caused me a lot of stress on the day we arrived when we were due to be going out. I feel quite aggrieved with the Hotel as the Rooms shown on their Website are clearly not the Rooms they tried to place us in when we first arrived and they were trying to fob me off with poor quality accommodation.

Location and rooms were very, very good - highly recommend this hotel. We needed two rooms but only one was ready on arrival at 3.00 and my room wasn’t ready until 5. A bit annoying. Only real negative though was the two young girls on reception who just chatted to one another and made no effort to engage with us as one of them checked us in. Said she had allocated us rooms next to each other but when I checked in at 5 our rooms were on different floors. Not a huge problem but more their attitude that was below standard. I must say during our stay we had wonderful service from other staff on reception. It is a great hotel very central in the old town.

Beds and bedding were comfortable, location is excellent- close to everything. Unfortunate use of towels and the bathroom mirror light was broken. For a hotel that advertises elevator access, there were a lot of stairs to negotiate. Because of the age of the hotel building, it is a bit of a rabbit warren.

The location is perfect, right behind the main market square and the Christmas markets. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy although the room could get quite hot at night. The bar in the hotel was really nice to sit in the evenings. There’s a Starbucks coffee machine and a small tuck shop. I’d definitely stay here again for a comfortable, convenient stay in Bruges.

Clean room/bathroom with a comfortable bed. Had to move rooms initially as we weren't happy with the first room (it was in an older part of the hotel) but the room we were moved to was really nice. Will definitely stay again.

We were given the last room at the end of the hall in the maze to the basement, #806. Not only was there poor lighting, but the one window couldn’t close and when we tried to call the front desk our phone would not call out any if the preset numbers so we had to go all the way back through the basement maze to alert the front desk. We booked this room months ago, but were truly disappointed with the one we received. Great location, but definitely another hotel next time.

Room clean, but daily clean took place quite late in afternoon 4 or so, but it probably depends where your room is in cleaning rota. For those who like a tea, bring kettle and supplies, though some reviews say you can ask for a kettle. Bring your own shelves, chairs & somewhere to unpack your suitcase & put things - & we'd paid for 'great'/exec room. Laminate off tables in breakfast room shows a lack of care & need for repair. Staff we dealt with bright & smiley & position in town really good, but if driving watch out for getting permissions for car/road use before travel & avoiding some streets in day.
