Residence Inn by Marriott Whitby

The location was perfect, easy to access and near the highway. Numerous places to eat close by within walking distance. Pet friendly facility - fee required. The room provided was very close to an exit door when was great for the dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was great, just off the 401 and a short drive to the GO station. It made getting to and from Union Station and the Jays game pretty easy! The bed was a bit broken in… it was tough to share because we were both rolling into the middle, but that’s the only complaint I have. The breakfast was good, room was clean and the staff were all very friendly.

Wonderful for kids. Pool open late, great variety at breakfast.

My client recently stayed at the Whitby location and had an absolutely amazing experience. the front desk staff was incredibly nice and welcoming from the moment he arrived. The room was perfectly clean, very comfortable, and had everything he needed for a great stay. Thanks to the whole team included the Kitchen Staff.

Water was dripping in room. So dirty rooms. Bathroom door wasn’t working.

Staff were wonderful. Breakfast room was very busy and full seating but good selection of hot and cold items

Breakfast was cold, and some of the food was overdone and hard. It was very crowded and long waits. Not much wearing room for families. The rooms are dated, the bed was quite soft and sagged way more on one side.

Pros: it was quiet. Room was clean. Good breakfast Cons: couch in the room was hard and sloped when you sat on it. Sofa bed was pretty bad. Felt like holes in the support and the mattress was thin and a bit beat up

We only stayed one night and it was disappointing. They do not stock kettles in rooms, but told us we could boil water in a pot for tea. The pull out sofa was so bad that one of our children slept on the floor on a camping mat and we had and another child put a sheet on the sofa as is and slept there. Several of the lamps would not turn on and several outlets didn't work. The toilet seat broke too during our stay. We've had a good history with Residence Inns. I was surprised at this. Since we had booked with Expedia (3rd party), no compensation for all these inconveniences was offered when we reported things to staff.

Our only negative was the comfort of the mattresses. We did not sleep well.

Great brea

We stayed one night as were visiting for a kids soccer tournament. We were upgraded to a suite with a separate room and it was good! The attention was great, and breakfast included was also good for our family. The obvious thing I may suggest is to improve the sofa bed. It was impossible to sleep on it, maybe a more sturdy mattress would improve it. But other than that, it’s a great hotel for what we needed.
