Aryaduta Pekanbaru

This time, I was really disappointed, as I'm a regular at this place. The Wi-Fi was super slow, and the room smelled like a septic tank. The carpet was heavily scorched from other guests' ironing, and the sheets and pillowcases were full of fluff. Staying here regularly, I could really feel that the room amenities were getting worse and not being maintained. Especially the sheets and pillowcases, which were covered in fluff.

The Wi-Fi was so slow, I didn't even use it during my stay at this hotel. I was on the 9th floor, and the hallways really smelled like septic tanks. My rooms were connecting, and one was really hard to flush, and the other was too, but it was still better. I had to press the button several times to get it to flush properly. I'm a regular at this hotel, but the room amenities haven't changed or been improved. The sheets and pillowcases are all frayed. I was only looking for a pool view when I came here. I stayed in Medan last June, and the one in Medan had better facilities. The one in Pekanbaru should be just as good, as they're both big cities.

Sorry Sis, I rarely give things like this. But honestly, I was really sad about taking my kids on a staycation, but then I found out there was no hot water, the Wi-Fi was down, there were rats in the room, and the instant noodles I kept in the cupboard were eaten by rats, and at night the roof near the central AC was scrabbling, I think it was rats, they were making a lot of noise, and the room was leaking near the window because it was raining heavily. The room was a premier room, but the bathtub was dirty, the grout was black, the shower was loose, and the sink often got clogged, so I had to dig around with a toothbrush to get it to run smoothly. If this hotel was renovated, maintained, and rejuvenated, I guarantee it would be popular, because the location and the front view are good. And now is the era of staycations. I think the price of 8xxxx is too expensive for facilities like this. It was sad that we were sick while in the room 😅 It was cold and there was no hot water, no notification on the app that the hotel was having trouble, only to find out when we were about to check in that it was impossible to cancel, the Wi-Fi was down when we checked in, and no compensation was given, when we called on the second day of our stay to ask for compensation, they only gave us an additional late check-out until 3. Since we were too lazy to complain, it was enough to just know. But we still checked out at 1:30 because we wanted to go out for lunch. Sigh. It was enough to be so sad. It would have been better to just take a regular room actually 😭

Wonderful hotel to stay for a business trip.

There should be a complete overhaul, such as fluffy pillowcases, bed sheets, and towels. The bedside tables look dated and don't look like they belong in a four-star hotel. It could've been better for Aryaduta.

While staying overnight the hot water machine was off.

Disappointing experience and poor handling of the issue. The hot water was not working, which was a major inconvenience during my stay. What was more disappointing was the lack of initiative from the hotel staff to resolve the issue or provide an alternative solution. On top of that, the room I received smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which made the room uncomfortable. What I found most disappointing was that, despite these issues being caused by the hotel, there was no apology, compensation, complimentary service, or any other form of goodwill gesture offered to make up for the inconvenience. For a hotel of this standard, I expected better maintenance, more proactive service, and better handling of guest complaints.

The rooms were quite nice. However, the breakfast was lacking in taste; the rice was a bit hard. Unfortunately, pool cleaning was done in the morning, so there was a long wait. It's recommended that pool maintenance be done in the afternoon or evening.

We knew this was an older hotel, so we had expectations. However, the price wasn't cheap, so when the AC and water heater didn't work properly, it was a huge disappointment. We didn't have a water heater for the entire four nights we stayed. Even more disappointing, when we complained about this, the front desk staff on standby (especially on the night of the 30th) raised their voices. The hospitality was poor, and the restaurant staff were rude. The only friendly person was the security guard at the front desk, and we appreciate that. The room also had a leaking roof. The bidet in the bathroom leaked. Very disappointing.

Hotels in each city are quite recommended for staying, with good facilities and services.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms were in keeping with the older but still good condition of the hotel, but the service and amenities were commensurate with its star rating. Overall, very good.

Staying with extended family because my cousin got married here, so far everything is okay 😊👍
