My son was greeted with balloons upon arrival. Coming on a weekend, there were fun activities in the pool area, including ice cream and sandwich decorating for the kids. And in the morning, there was Zumba. Oh my God, it was a truly enjoyable experience for our family, especially since it's close to Bekapai Park, making it easy to find late-night dining.

This hotel is superb. The room is so spacious. I booked two superior rooms and requested a connecting door. The staff are very friendly and they clean the room every day. The food tastes good. I would definitely stay in this hotel again on my next visit. It's very recommended.

I've actually stayed at Novotel several times, but this was my first time with my family. Thank God, it was a very pleasant experience. Friendly service, spacious rooms, and well-functioning facilities. Finding food at night is also easy because it's close to Bekapai Park and several other cafes within a radius of less than 500 meters. In the morning, breakfast was delicious. Novotel's strengths are definitely its delicious breakfast and diverse menu options, from Western to Eastern to Indonesian. The only downside is the gym access, as it's currently under renovation, hehe. Hopefully, next time I come here, I'll be able to use all the facilities.

Check-in was fast, the room was comfortable, but the AC wasn't very strong and the Wi-Fi was problematic. The room was very clean and comfortable for children. Since I was only in transit for one night, I didn't have time to try the pool and other facilities. The breakfast was delicious, and I even named it the best breakfast in Balikpapan, haha.

Friendly staff, good facilities. Superior rooms don't have smart TV or Google TV. You have to upgrade to a higher room type to get smart TV, and even at that price, a superior room is already quite expensive per night.🙏

For a 5-star hotel and a 1.2++ price, this was far from our expectations. We did take the most standard room :) and it's an old hotel.. but the room interior is outdated, and the most uncomfortable thing is the very strong damp smell (I tried spraying air freshener, but there was still a slight damp smell). The room tends to be dark. The bathroom is even more so. The ambiance is uncomfortable. Haven't had breakfast here, but really hope it will be satisfying and good, because the area usually used for breakfast is said to be under renovation.
