DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station

We stayed one night (Sat.) before our 24 day cruise. We booked at least 6 months early. They put us on the 9th floor. Music from roof top club plays music until 3 am every Friday and Saturday. We did not know that. We tried calling the front desk between 12:00 am and 12:30 am to ask about the loud music because we could not sleep at all. I waited until then, because we were in a foreign country and did not want to cause a problem. Called front desk 3 times and no one answered. Called concierges desk 3 times and no answer. When I called rooftop club they answered right away and informed us that they play until 3am. We did not get sleep that night. Manager acknowledged that they always play until 3am and could not explain why no one answered at the front desk and explained there was nothing she could do. She understood we did not get any sleep because of the music. Finally she offered 20,000 points and then finally 30,000 hotel points. I don't care about points, but she told us she could not refund even a small amount of money to us. Ran into people from the cruise that have stayed there before and they told us you have to request to stay below the 5th floor. Hotel concierge told us on the way out of the hotel it happens all the time, but nothing he can do, but will pass our concern on to management. I would like some kind of a refund, money wise for a nights lack of sleep. They put us in this room knowing full well the music was going to keep us up. No excuse for this.

The property was in a great location. The staff were welcoming, the rooms were clean and lovely. The concierge and staff were helpful and the restaurant was good. It was right in the heart if things and yet far enough away that you could enjoy the city.

Excellent location with modern building and amenities, except that air conditioning was inadequate and temperature in the room could not be lowered, despite complaints.

Excellent hotel with helpful staff and great location. 5min walk to train station and canals. Great restaurant and helpful staff. My only complaint would be the a/c in the rooms was not very good which is unfortunate in the heat of summer.

Great spot close to everything

Highly recommend staying for wheelchair users. Really nice and helpful staff, beautiful and clean hotel in a very convenient location. Lars& his colleagues really went out of their way to help me out, they couldn’t have been lovelier.

Location Location Location!

Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. We arrived approximately half an hour early and were able to check in straight away as our room was ready. Although the hotel is next to the station it is very quiet - you cannot hear the trains. There is a lovely roof top bar for guest use with excellent views of the city. Would certainly consider staying here again as excellent for onward travel being so close to the station.

The best thing about this hotel is the location as it is very close to the central train station.

Beautiful place and nicely located within walking distance to shops and tourist options

Flawless registration, clean and well stocked unit, big and comfortable bed, and close to downtown. The unit was compact compared to a typical North American room.

Accommodation king bed was very good, rooftop lounge has an amazing city view. Reception staff checkin and check out, no problems. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh. Concierge was very helpful, arranged flat rate taxi to my river cruise ship location.. When I return to Amsterdam, I will definitely stay at Hilton DoubleTree Central Station.

Did not like the fact it had resort fees when it was not a resort The room was large and quiet There was a grocery store close by The train and bus station was close. The bed was comfortable They let us in the room early
