Comfort Hotel Xpress Tromso

There is nothing in the room. No fridge, hot water boiling pot, even no cup or glasses

We did get there at 1.30pm and knew check in wasnt until 3pm.. so left our bags and went out n about. Came back at 3pm only to be told room not available yet, no manager to speak with and no idea when rooms would be ready. Eventually pushed (as we had trip booked for the evening) and fonally got rooms 5.20pm. Not very well managed and by this time we seemed to be only 2 couples still not in our rooms!

In the bathroom, there's not even one shelf nor cup for teeth brushing so that I had to put my face item on the tile & I had to use my hand for gurgling. Lights are so dark to reading.

Great location staff were helpful and nice. Room was clean but no safe (which I didn’t look in to before booking), no room cleans or towel changes were done which I’m not sure if it’s advertised or not however the team were helpful and got us replacement towels on request.

Good but higher floors better due to street noise

Great staff very helpful. Despite being a very basic hotel, its clean with comfy beds. Its very conveniently located right in the heart of tromso city centre. I was happy with my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is spot on, the rooms are clean, the staff are helpful, showers are hot and powerful, bed is comfortable.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ideal for my needs. One thing though. No TV. I didn't mind this but it was reported on my first night and again on checking out. It just kept saying "No Signal "

The staff is ok, they manage what they can… They check-in was at 3:00pm and we received the room at 6:00pm… The check-in process horrible The smell of the alleys like a dead fish The rooms was dirty specially the desk and under the bed. I understand the policy of cleaning on the 4 day, but you have to do it right. This is not my first time staying here

Clean room, good location, helpful manager

Perfect location in central Tromsø. The staff are amazing and accommodating. There were some issues, including a broken TV frame and light switches. Additionally, cleaning the room once every 4 days and charging for extra towels and bed sheets under the guise of “sustainability,” even though the cheapest motels in the US do so daily, is a disappointment for a hotel of this level.

Inflexible check out processes, lack of housekeeping and poor communication by front desk. No luggage storage available and only paid options nearby. Wont recommend!

Clean, no frills, conveniently located

Not worth the money, will avoid this brand of hotel in the future. Heaven forbid you’re in a room on the south side of the building. There’s a nightclub outside that will keep you up all night. The walls were very thin…you can hear doors slamming all through the night and people talking in the room next to you. They aren’t very clean and you can’t control the temperature so very hot as well. If you plan on staying longer than a night go somewhere else because it’s unlikely you’ll have a good rest here.

Nice hotel but need to be floor 4 or higher otherwise street noise is a lot. Offer a microwave in reception (but it did break) and hot water (if empty ask and they will refill) . Reception are very business like. But rooms are nice and clean.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my stay and to request appropriate refund or compensation, as the issues I experienced significantly affected my comfort and the quality of my stay. At the time of making my reservation, there was no indication that the room assigned to me would be an accessible (disabled) room. Upon arrival, I was given such a room, including a bathroom designed for accessibility. As a guest who does not require an accessible room, this was unexpected and unsuitable. Despite raising this concern at reception and requesting a room change, I was informed that this would not be possible. In addition, the bathroom lighting was malfunctioning, with continuous flickering that caused discomfort and made the bathroom unpleasant to use. This is a basic maintenance issue that should have been resolved prior to assigning the room. Furthermore, the room temperature was inadequate. The heating system appears to be centrally controlled, preventing guests from adjusting the temperature beyond a fixed limit. Although there is a radiator in the room, it is locked and does not provide sufficient heating. The room relies mainly on a ventilation or air-conditioning system, which was ineffective. At the time of my stay, the room temperature was 19.6°C, while the outdoor “feels like” temperature was approximately -17°C. Room was very clean and the bathroom was lovely, the floor was always warm. Staff were friendly and helpful and though we chose not to use it the bar and breakfast area were all well stocked. Great location for walking around Tromso and accessing pick up locations for tours. The street outside was noisy though this was only on the Saturday night, the rest of our stay through to Tuesday was quiet.
