Banff Aspen Lodge

This hotel is located a few blocks away from the main downtown area. I would say about a 3-5 minute walk. There are no restaurants onsite, but there is a cafe on the ground floor. You do get free breakfast every morning from 6:30am-10am. It's not a very big space, but was not full when we went on Labor Day weekend. You do get free parking with 2 areas to park. There's underground parking, which has about 20 spaces and gate automatically opens when close. Then there's parking available in back, with covered and non-covered spaces. Upon walking in, the lobby is not very big, but there are some seats available for you to sit at and there's an area with a fireplace with seats surrounding it. Check in was pretty quick and informative as they can also book your activities. The building has only 3 floors with a very small elevator. Not the fastest, but since it's only 3 floors, the stairs are an option also. They have a pretty good sized jacuzzi, a small cold plunge pool, dry sauna and a steam room. There are men & women restrooms and an area with clean dry towels. The jacuzzi hours are 9am-10pm. Most of the time, it was empty or maybe 2 people in it. And since this hotel isn't very big, it was never crowded at all. The room that we were booked in was a 2 queen street view. It came with a balcony, which we didn't use, with a couple of chairs outside. I am able to hear the road noise, but luckily, Banff doesn't get. a lot of traffic, it's tolerable. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff friendly. Very nice location.

The internet was out while we were there. Other than that, a very nice hotel.

There are so many positives about our stay. We stayed 3 nights. The bed was so comfortable we slept really well. Staff was awesome always helping with suggestions for dinner. The Mountain View off our patio was so worth it. Breakfast was 10/10 delicious

Breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed the hottub and courtyard seating by the fireplace.

Hot tub, shown in most advertisements and a major reason for selecting this hotel was not operable. Received mixed messaging on why. Didn’t appear to be a priority…

Nice room

Very clean, quiet, and quaint place. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Breakfast was great, but the room was way to small to accommodate all guests. If you did not arrive early and queue, people were waiting for 20-30 minutes just to get in. If you have plans, this is not good. Hotel and staff are pleasant and the location is great within easy walking to Banff town centre.

Too expensive for the room we had! Not worth it, go stay in Canmore. Banff is too touristy and expensive! We ended up paying $400 per night for a closet!!

Love the free breakfast. The room arrangement is kinda odd. Its layout for young family or travel with friends. Not for couple. Privacy is minimal. I would stay again.

A very clean and fresh property.. Includes a full breakfast and has a great coffeehouse .

The staff was fantastic and took the time to treat you like a close friend than a customer. If you have an issue, they will go out of their way to find a solution, even the night shift does this. The place may be small, but it clean,stylish,and has a lot of charm. We did hear a bit flushing from the floor above so if there a downside, that would be it.

Great Staff and good location

Banff Aspen Lodge is clean and comfortable, with a good location in downtown Banff. It has free underground parking and a pleasant inner courtyard with a hot tub, cool pool and sauna. Beds are comfortable, service is good, and the included breakfast is decent. Highly recommended.
