Basecamp Suites Revelstoke

I loved my stay with Basecamp Suites. Instructions for entering were clear, the location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I plan to stay with them any time I pass through Revelstoke from here on out.

Stop at this place when heading to Kelowna from Calgary. It’s perfect spot to rest, have a hot tub, great coffee

It’s a cool spot in a great location right downtown Revelstoke. Convenient access to all of the cute little shops and many dining options. Loved the convenience of the full kitchen. A couple of issues came up, like the cleaning was pretty poor in the upstairs area. The staff offered to come in and re-clean, or move us to a different room, but by that point we were already unpacked in the bedrooms downstairs and it felt more intrusive to have someone come into our space once we were already settled. We did appreciate the offer, however. A weird thing that is not explicit is there is no elevator on sight, or if there is it is not marked, so just be aware that you’ll be lugging your heavy bags up two flights of stairs to get to your room. The other weird thing was that on our second day one of the staff just walked in. My sister heard the door open and called downstairs and one of the staff had let themselves into the room and said he was told we needed more hand towels. We did not ask for more hand towels. Also, what happened to knocking and waiting for someone to answer the door? It was very unwelcome and made us feel kind of sketchy that just anyone could walk in as there is no latch on the door to add extra security. Also two of the windows were broken and couldn’t be opened. Overall just not great.

The room was very quiet, clean and fully equipped. Best equipped kitchen with top quality utensils and pots & pans. The only thing we had a problem with was operating the bedroom tv which was turning it on. Having the phone call trouble shooting was awkward. But in the end I suggested unplugging & replugging tv which seems to reset the system to work. Our room was awkward to reach as oir access door was on the opposite side of our parked vehicle l. We ended up passing our stuff through the window

Perfectly appointed apartment, had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable for our large family with 3 adults and 3 children and affordable too!

Great hot tub

It was quieter than we thought it would be. When we first stepped in could hear the girls next door. All good!!!

Clean rooms and lovely kitchen and eating area! Loved the location right in town with easy walking to local restaurants!!

The room was dirty. I had to clean the floors which were covered with rocks and some sort of filth. The room was not as pictured when I booked. For example, there is no counter in the bathroom. I had to sit in the parking lot because there is no onsite check-in. The bar across the street was super loud as were the couple next door to me - I could hear every word of their private conversation. The heat did not work and the only way I could warm the room was by turning on the oven. There is no onsite staff to deal with any of these issues.

Very good location, rooms laid out excellent and well supplied rooms. Only comment is that more towels should be supplied.

EV Charging was useful. The EV charging stalls should be identified to keep non-EV's from parking there.

NO flexability or understanding

I was so excited to stay here that I can’t believe how utterly disappointed I was with this place. The service and communication was the worst I have seen in years. And thats not a statement I make lightly. I made a booking and then basically right after I would have been able to cancel it I got the phone saying my two night stay was going to be split into two rooms. No option to cancel anymore and I felt like that was done purposefully. Even though they changed what was agreed upon when I booked I had no options. Talked repeatedly on the phone with different people, no one was any help. For a two nights reservation the bill was around $1200. I got $65 refund for the hassle. I was told to write an email to the manager and they never got back to me. Everyone was always passing the buck. It was a computer glitch which I understand can happen. But it was zero of my fault and I was the only one paying the price. They tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favour giving me a late check out and an early check in when switching the rooms. Someone tried to get into the room both mornings at 9am even after we told them we would not be out early. There was no communication with the people I spoke to on the telephone to the people cleaning the rooms. So disappointed with this stay but I guess what can you expect from companies now a-days. They dont care about your business and you are just a credit cars number to them.
