EXchange Hotel Vancouver

Room was uncomfortable, too warm, thermostat was limited to 20 degrees. Room felt like a sauna and sleeping was awful.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is perfect. I stayed two nights there after my cruise and loved it. The entire staff is warm and welcoming and sincerely eager to make your stay a great one.

Great location for exploring Gastown and waterfront. Great gym! Concierge staff and check in staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Love the radiant heat floor in the bathroom. Glad to see the historic building being made LEEDS certified!

An Oasis of Four Diamond service, decor, location, amenities, & exceptional staff. The gym is excellent and the Hydra / Wine Bar work in tandem with the 4* Hotel! We chose to dine at the bar, we started wide great cocktails, a few small plates, & wonderful Chardonnay, if you enjoy less oak and are looking for a crisp mineral white wine from Vancouver Island this Chardonnay form the Blue Grouse Estate Chardonnay will exceed expectations! Thanks to the recommendation of the very knowledgeable Sommelier /Maitre d we enjoyed a classic Vancouver white! A great two days at the EXchange.

First the good: the hotel location was perfect, in-town, and close to Canada Place with many amenities nearby. The staff was nice and helpful. And the hotel was clean enough. I would stay there again. The bad: The room was too dark for my taste. An overhead light would have been useful. The light orb on the desk blinds your eyes without lighting the desktop very well. The safe didn't work. When I inquired about it, I was told that someone would come by my room in 10-minutes to look at it. No one came. I had to nag again to get it addressed. The hotel shower head was old and needed updating. The water pressure was lackluster. The T.V. guide didn't match what was on T.V. The provided water in green plastic bottles tasted funny. The heating/cooling didn't work at all. The room was 24C and no amount of changing the thermostat made it cooler. Note that the front desk people could also change your thermostat remotely. So, the room temperature was not ideal for sleeping. It would have been great if the window opened if only a crack.

It feels expensive without being stuffy. The Rooms: Impeccably clean and surprisingly quiet for a downtown hotel. The beds are cloud-like, and the tech—from the lighting controls to the high-speed Wi-Fi—is intuitive and modern. Location, Location, Location: You are right in the heart of the Financial District. Whether you’re walking to the waterfront, hopping on the SkyTrain, or heading to a meeting, everything is within a 5-minute radius. Dining: Hydra Estiatorio on the ground floor is a must-visit. Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, go for the Mediterranean sea bass. It’s easily one of the best dining experiences in the city. Service: The staff here are the real MVPs. From the valet to the front desk, everyone was incredibly attentive and actually seemed happy to help, which can be rare in busy city hotels. Pro Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors. The view of the surrounding architecture and the peek-a-boo glimpses of the mountains are worth it.

The minute you walk into the Exchange Hotel, the staff are extremely attentive and professional. The checkin process was one of the best I have ever experienced! We stayed in the 11th floor in a corner suite and the room was stunning! The snack area was awesome and nice to be able to have some coffee, pastries and other snacks! Super impressed with our stay and highly recommend to other travellers!

I would come back here just for the staff! They were ALL so friendly kind and accommodating - best customer service I have ever experienced! Especially Robby and Allan! Thank you for all you did for us and making us feel so welcome!

Great service and staff. It was absolutely top tier. Their amenities in room could be improved. My tiny bathroom showerhead and the open space saving closet was an eyesore. There was no way to turn on the bathroom air vent.

Well located and interesting and aesthetic boutique hotel. Very comfortable room and walkable to the harbour and Canada Place. Would definitely recommend.

Love the thoughtful design of the hotel. The room was spacious and bright but also felt cozy. A heated bathroom is a wonder to step onto. The staff were all fabulous and I loved my stay.

The staff were beyond amazing. The building and room were nice. My only complaint is the lack of air conditioning. Even in winter it was really stuffy and hot.

Had dog bed and food/water bowls for our pup.

The room is clean and the staff is lovely. Location is also great! The room itself is just a bit dark, making it hard when multiple people are getting ready at the same time. The fan in the washroom also didn't work.
