HILTON GARDEN INN CALGARY DOWNTOWN

This Hotel is Downtown Calgary, parking is not free. You can park in a Lot outside, across the street or underground for a fee. Hotel is great, very clean and easy to access amenities. Groceries and shopping are across the street. My only issue, that cannot be controlled by the hotel, is that it is downtown and that comes with the same issue that most cities are having currently, homelessness. It was relaxing, paying for the undergorund parking allowed you to come and go and not have to worry about the immediate surroundings.

I visited my fiancee in calagary and plan to have a 1 night stay at hilton, I traveled from kas vegas Nevada, and my fiancee and i decided to bring food outside from hotel coz we noticed that hotel amenities comes with fridge and microwave to warm up our food, the time we try to warm Our food in microwave doesn’t work i call up the frim desk to let them know about the microwave, they send someone to help us to check whats going on, and i ask if yhey have any spare, the guy who check said there is no available microwave to change, we stay at 11 floor and they said we need to bring down our food to heat it up on their kitchen, everything was fine only the issue about the microwave, thanks ♥️

Most excellent front staff experience I’ve ever had. They were so accommodating, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic experience for our anniversary and the location is great for walking around Calgary and inglewood area. Room was very nice and very clean, pool was fun, anbd provided towels and we didn’t use the gym but it was really nice.

I was disappointed that breakfast was not included, even though my booking confirmation indicated that it was. It was quite embarrassing to be informed by the staff upon arrival that my reservation did not include breakfast. In addition, the area was very crowded, which affected the overall experience. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I do not plan to ret

They should try to sleep and use the pillows, maybe they will realize its time to replace those stinky and worn out pillows. Upon check out, the front desk is trying to charge out credit card for the so called Destination Marketing Fee (DMF). As fat as i remember, we booked the hotel, got a confirmation and checked in but nothing was mentioned about this fees. DMF iMUST be fully disclosed to the customer upon booking NOT when your customer is about to checked out… Wont be coming back..

Great location for concerts at the Saddledome & stampede! Nicely decorated room with comfy bed. Parking across the street was only $3!!! Will definitely return.

Nice, clean hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was great, the hotel is great. Unfortunately, however, the area around the hotel is extremely sketchy. People in alleyways doing drugs, etc. I know this is beyond the hotel’s control but, perhaps bringing the concerns of your guests to the authorities, might help rectify the situation.

It says made to order breakfast. But if you are including breakfast in your booking it is going to be generic buffet breakfast with fixed options. Also, expedia book do not involve total cost proporty asked me to pay $66 tax claiming it was not covered in expedia booking.

If you need a place to sleep for a night, it's good enough, although there are multiple better options in the area for the same price. While checking in, there was a line, and multiple staff simply walked by, looked, and continued on while the poor girl at the desk was stuck with a confused guest. The room was clean, and the bed was decent. The pillows lacked any firmness at all. While not directly the hotel's fault, the location in Calgary gets quite sketchy, and quite dirty surrounding the hotel. What is directly the hotel's fault is charging almost $40 a night for parking in a city where the average is half that. Even more egregious is that during check out they hit me with "Marketing Development Fee" of $11. No explanation as to what it is, or why it wasn't worked into the original cost of the night, or even why they didn't mention it during check in. Just scummy behavior. I had originally booked the place because it was close to an event I was attending. Regardless of how close it is to future events, I won't be back, and would rather walk an extra 10 mins.

Overall my stay was very nice! The parking can be a bit confusing since it’s not accessible until you go inside and let them know you’ll be using their parking garage. Other than that, the restaurant inside the hotel was great and the staff were extremely kind! I would recommend staying with them!

Two of the three times I spoke to the front desk, they spoke very fast and were abrupt and unhelpful, the hospitality did not match to cost of my stay. Also I understand it is outside of the hotel's control, but there was very loud construction right outside my window very late into the night, keeping me up past 2 a.m. that I was not made aware of before hand.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, but the restaurant and breakfast fall short of expectations. The breakfast is inadequately prepared, the buffet is minimal, and the service varies greatly from that of the front desk. It doesn't quite feel like a Hilton Garden Inn, especially compared to our positive experiences with Hilton hotels worldwide. As a frequent traveler, I recommend skipping the breakfast here, as there's a Tim Hortons nearby with more variety and affordable prices.

Didn’t Like?! There was no Safe Box in the room
