We were a little disappointed with our stay here. The window in the room could not close properly. The curtains were filthy and stained. The bed head was stained with what looked like blood and other soils. The worst part was there was no lift. Thankfully we were one flight of stairs up and someone kindly brought the luggage to the room for us. The parking on site was a bit problematic for us in that you are required to download an app. Sadly because I am from another country this app was not available to me on my cell phone l. I had already parked my car there thinking that i would just pay at the desk. We were informed by the staff that if we moved our car out of there we would be ticketed 100£. Keep in mind we had just parked our car there a few minutes before this. The staff at the desk were friendly. There was a really kind lady I think her name was Pam who loaned me her personal umbrella. Very grateful for her kindness. The breakfast wasnt bad. They had traditional English breakfast offerings. Overall many of the employees were kind but the hotel itself needs much attention.

Unclear directions to the car park. The road was signposted as no entry. Parkedd in the public car park (Crown Court) next door. No luck on hotel parking. The 1 app refused to take payment. The 1 desk staff was completely gormless. The room was okay as far as size. We were staying one night for a gig, so didn't expect luxury. The sides were dusty, the room was freezing cold. My wife realised the window was open, we thought. It turns out the window was actually damaged. It didn't close at all, and the hotel was clearly aware, as someone had botched a piece of wood and a makeshift latch which only stopped the window swinging open, it did nothing to lock or seal it. The one chair was stained with multiple marks. The light over the bed was dusty, with cobwebs. The walls were stained. The door looked like something had been splashed on it and dried. The room was unsaleable and should have been taken off stock until it was up to saleable standard. We went back to the desk to request another room. Told the hotel was "fully booked". I requested a new room or we were leaving. Magically an alternate room became available. 4th floor no lift. 2nd room bigger "suite" bathroom was larger than the main room and periodically stank of sewage. Next morning breakfast time was confirmed, changed, then when we actually came down 30 mins early, the girl on her phone at the desk tried to tell us we'd missed it. The place is a state. AVOID. Extra star for the breakfast staff.

A wonderful building with so much to offer, but it fell short. For £80 I'm not surprised, but why not charge a little more and offer a better experience? They offered a 2pm check in but wouldn't allow us to check in before 3. It appeared that multiple other guests were experiencing the same. Room was clean although the bath panel was half hanging off. The lady looking after the bar was under 18 so couldn't serve us any alcohol.

Hotel was good but very short on staff. Be very careful if you make the mistake of parking round the back for a short time while you unload because Parking Eye will sting you for £100 if you don't pay the £10!

Arrived at hotel put on 4th floor lift broken, was not asked if help required with luggage as I had a few bags. No towels in room. Loud music in room opposite until 1am on a week night no one was bothered. And finally I left my iPad in the room I tried to call and sort this out with the hotel I even spoke to ceo of the hotel chain kalik who was so rude and put the phone down and even though my iPad was showing the location they denied it being there. The worst hotel I have stayed in and I travel the country and stay in hotels 3 x a week. I definitely wo

Fairly good value for the price I paid and I had a reasonable night’s sleep after a night out at a party. My main criticisms would be: slow check in, lift out of order, hairs on my bathroom floor, no proper curtains over the window (just a roller blind which didn’t cover the edges so the light shone through in the morning and woke me up).

Tried to check in at 2pm as it states to find they dont do check in til 3pm now. Receptionist insisted that it had been updated however all communications from them stated 2pm. She was also unhelpful and didnt even give an apology. This left us unable to check in until after 11pm as we had plans for the rest of the day and picked the hotel as we needed an earlier check in.

I am unaware of a pool if there was one here it was never mentioned at reception. Parking is shown as an amenity but you have to pay £10.60 for the night PLUS £50 deposit on the stay. The lift was also broken so after 5 hours of travelling to have no lift was disappointing. Room was clean, however the window never shut fully which meant I could hear the bus station, taxi men talking all night leaving a breeze making the room feel cold (video taken). There was tissue stuff to the top of the window, which is screwed shut (photos taken). The door peep hole is missing so rubbish and tissue have been stuffed in. I called reception 7 times in the evening to request the radiator be turned on as it was on high but no heat was coming out. I was never called back and once they finally got back to me. They told me it should be on and sent me a heater up, which they did. However nothing was sorted with the radiator. On the phone call also they confirmed the delivery driver was down stairs with my food, when asking for him to delivery it to the door (as the lift was broken) they refused and said I had to come collect it. Bearing in mind check out is 11, I came back to my room after breakfast to have a shower and freshen up at 10:30 to find a cleaner had been in my room stripped my bed and removed my towels! I have not even checked out and my room has been stripped. Will never stay here again, complete was of money!!

Shocking customer service. Notified of issues repeatedly only for the desk staff to write them down on a bit of paper and presumably throw it in the bin the moment we were out of sight. Nothing ever happened. Gave up by day two. Room still not cleaned and replenished by 15:30 on day two when we got back, kept the Do Not Disturb on after that cos it's a waste of time. Beds uncomfortable, old collapsed mattresses, poorly made up, TV remote not paired to TV, shower temperature valve adjuster came off in my hand.
