Novotel Paris la Défense Esplanade

We liked the convenience of Hotel across road from Metro station, M1 direct into Paris, Hotel was clean and good selection for Breakfast with plenty staff clearing tables so no waiting, The room was good we had good view of Eiffel tower from bedroom window, Reception staff excellent giving advise on how to get to attractions easily,

Stay was not good for the price paid. On the first night I could not sleep as room was too warm. I was told no air con do not start till April. Next day morning I could not get hot water in the shower. When complained I was told many people staking shower in the morning causes nonhot water. What a terrible system which can not manage it's capacity.

Generally good but would have been nice to have bottled water, iron and ironing board in the room rather than having to ask for one.

The property was good, it was clean and staff were nice. However, the beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable which and toilet clogged easily.

I’ve stayed in many Paris hotels, and if you’re expecting a 4-star, avoid this one. It should lose a star, and management needs to address the poor state. Clearly, guest experience is not a priority. I paid £500 for 2 nights in a “superior” room with a view, but it felt more like a dated 3-star motel. Check-in was bland—no interaction, no explanation of services, not even a confirmation of my booking. Staff seemed untrained. The 10th-floor corridor was dark and outdated, and the room wasn’t any better—cramped, gloomy, and unclean. The only positive was the view of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower. The depressing color scheme of browns and grays made the room feel even worse. Nothing about the room was "superior." A few Rituals products don't compensate for the lack of basics like robes, slippers, or water. £250 per night for this? The bathroom was tiny, with a faulty showerhead, and the loose socket was dangerous. The towels were so thin they were practically see-through. Clearly, the room wasn’t maintained. Breakfast was chaotic. The food was poor, and the hot dishes weren’t even warm. The dining area was unclean. This hotel isn’t any better than the IBIS next door. I’m just relieved I only stayed for 2 nights.

Hotel was reasonable clean and in a nice area, but very dated. Rooms need renovation, looks like it hasn't been done since the 80s with wood chip wall paper. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Great views from the room looking at the river and the Eiffel tower. That was the highlight for us. Commute to central Paris on ligne 1 was straightforward and convenient.

there was nothing good,bad breakfast, bad cleaning, small room, rude staff. disney shuttle was fulled other hotels you havenot beable to get in it.

The security people - extreme aggressiveness. They made my family feeling that we are in a war zone and not in the most beautiful capital of Europe.

100 meters from the metro line 1 so straight to paris center in 10 minutes, and lots of great restaurants in Levalois or Courbevoie and La Defense within walking distance. On the river so great views of Monmatre and eifel tower

We didn't like the hotel at all. I don't know how it was considered 4 stars!! Our room floor looks disgusting and full of stains. We didn't have a mini fridge in our room to keep our water cool in the hot days we were there.

Pro: close to metro line 1, which is a good line to be on (direct access to major tourist sites, if a bit far; this is metro Zone 3). Good location for the money. Con: location-wise, this is a business district, nothing is open over the weekend; awkwardly located between traintracks and highways/bridges, so not walkable at all. I didn't book the breakfast thinking that I would eat around the hotel, but there was no good options. The breakfast was 19.50 Euros, which I thought was a bit pricey. The staff was very unprofessional, seemed very inexperienced. I complained about dirty grouts in the shower and instead of cleaning it, they offered me a free bottle of beer. They also didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the area. All in all, a solid 8/10, given the location and the value.

Excellent location, few mins to M1 station, nice and clean room, good river view with Eiffel Tower, welcome gift for small kids, standard hotel buffet breakfast, the only feedback is the ventilation of the room could improved, it’s a bit weak
