Hyatt Regency Yokohama

We booked a Club room as a family of 4 for a number of days. Children (under 12 yrs) are excluded from the Club between 5-7pm - when the nightly cocktails (and food) are offered. It’s a shame as we book Club rooms for a space to relax at the end of a day as a family. Given a lunchbox with 1 sandwich, 2 juices, 1 green tea can and 1 beer can for a family of four to share instead. No alternative space offered. On some nights one parent went to experience the cocktail hour - variable in quality. Selection of food on the nights we stayed included a bean salad, pasta salad, salad with lettuce, plain crackers with small selection of cheese and a small selection of small goods (such as salami). The breakfasts included some pastries (such as croissants), sausages, scrambled eggs, small fruit selection and cereal. We felt there wasn’t anything particularly premium about the room we stayed in. Of note there is a folding screen behind the bed - there is a placard that requests you don’t touch it and states “If the screen is damaged, the repair fee of about Y200,000 will be charged on your account”. We’ve stayed in many hotels (and travelled extensively in Japan) - this is the first time we’ve come across a warning like this - for something in a prominent part of the hotel room. To access streaming services on the TV you are required to connect to the hotel wifi using your smartphone and cast it to the TV. Ultimately we were disappointed with the Club room experience and our stay.

Top notch hotel.

Staff were nice, room was clean and fine We've stayed at the Hyatt Regency before and loved it. This time we upgraded to a corner room, and somehow it was worse than the standard room - we were on the 8th floor with loud and consistent road noise (hotel is across the road from a fire station on our side), and the room was much smaller this time.

Friendly staff with clean and spacious rooms

Out of the 3 hotels I stayed at on my most recent trip to Japan, I felt the staff here was hit or miss. For Japan I often find myself blown away by the hospitality, but there was a coldness to more than a few of the staff members. In the states, I probably wouldn’t notice, but the for Japan standards I was a bit shocked. When there are so many amazing hotels with great service in Japan, I probably would not come back to this one.

Spotless

Lovely hotel! Rooms were great! Super friendly staff! Great breakfast with lots of variety!! Comfy pajamas! Only thing I’d recommend is providing enough amenities in room for the guests (we were 4 and only had 2 bottles of water, 2 pjs, 2 toothbrushes etc.) called and got the items brought up no problem! Appreciated the thoughtful birthday gift!!! Highly recommend staying here when in yokohoma as it’s well located and super close to everything!!

We only stayed in this hotel for one day and one night but during this period, we got to see a lot of Yokohama's Chinatown and Marina District. Beautiful Hotel and location if you are taking a cruise.

The room was clean and perfect. The staff was exceptional! Everyone at the front desk and lobby was very helpful. I highly recommend staying at this Hyatt.

This is my favorite hotel that i have ever stayed in. Just did 13 nights here with my wife, was my second time staying and cant wait to come back.

This is a lovely property close to Yamashita Park, The Red Brick Warehouse and the waterfront walking path. If your stay includes a transfer to the cruise port, this is an ideal property

Room was comfortable. Service was attentive. Good bath amenities. Gym very small with limited equipment.
