The breakfast was excellent. The buffet had lots of options and a made-to-order menu was also available. The junior suite was quite spacious. The staff was friendly and the front desk was very helpful. The hot tub and pool were quite small. The pool is not adequate for lap swimming or aerobic exercise. The location is convenient to the train station and we walked to most sites.

Great location, friendly staff and quirky place! Some retails needed, for example, one lamp in my room didn’t work and the curtains sometimes opened for no reason. Breakfast was ridiculously overpriced.

The stay was overall lovely. Beautiful location. The staff were very kind and helpful. I only had a few issues. The hot tub was not hot at all and a bit dirty. I did love the pool Room service came around 9 a.m. to ask if I was ready to leave (check out is at 11), which made me feel rushed. The hotel is closer to the train station than Google Maps says. Go out the front of the station and stay on the same side (do not cross the bridge). It should only be a 6 ish minute walk once you see a pancake restaurant. The wine selection was wonderful.

3 stars not 5 stars. The hotel common areas looks really dated and need a refurb. The restaurant is very average. The rooms were nice and look like they’ve been renovated but the shower smelled strange and there were a number of faults with the lights, safe, and door alarm.

The hotel is a historic building which lends to the charm of Amsterdam. We had a superior deluxe room so it was a very nice size, large bathroom and large to the ceiling windows with remote controlled drapes. Breakfast provided a great choice of foods and pastries. We did not use the spa but it appeared many guests did. We walked to all attractions and it is close to the central station. The only issue we had was requesting to restock our complimentary refrigerator and that never happened. Also reception never picked up the phone when we called. The lounge staff were great!
