The breakfast was buffet style breakfast, hot food (sausages, scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, crispy potatoes, black pudding) pastries, toast, bread, cereals, continental style meats and cheeses. The room was clean and spacious, bath with shower. Slept really well. Room was warm, although if I'd had a look at the thermostat I'm sure it would've been fine. Even though the hotel is on a busy street and roundabout. You'd never know, so quiet. Staff really freindly and helpful. Close to the trian station and 10 minute walk to the Bullring

Room was clean, breakfast had plenty of options, staff are cheerful. However they do take an unexpected £50 deposit, the payment leaving your bank immediately. On check out they tell you your deposit will be refunded immediately or within the next day or too, still waitng nearly 48hrs later! Guess this deposit thing is new as NEVER been asked before on any Hotel.com stays before!

Absolutely shocking. The air con had stopped working but this information wasn’t given to us. We checked in and overhead another guest talking about the lack of air con so we asked and were sheepishly told we could either have a refund or a fan. We went to the room to assess the situation and it was awful. We received about 8 emails prior to check in, asking if we wanted to upgrade our stay but no one thought to pre warn us of the biblical temperatures. We were told that the air con in the building wasn’t sufficient to service all the rooms to the degree of heat we’ve been having which would seem to be a massive oversight for a chain as big as Radisson. As it was so late in the day, we couldn’t find alternative accommodation so had to return home instead which ruined a birthday weekend that we had planned. Luckily we managed to find alternative accommodation the next day but I feel a lot more could have been done by the staff and hotel. Surely there is a sister hotel they could have contacted or at least tried to fix the situation but they couldn’t have cared less. They very much gave the air of just trying to get away with it as best as they could and were trying to keep as much business through omittance of truth. Absolutely diabolical way to treat customers.

Staff were very helpful and location was perfect . Unfortunately on arrival no one had filled the handwash or shower gel , so had to request someone to do this . The aircon was extremely noisy and could not control the temperature of the shower , extremely hot and could have been dangerous.

The welcome was initially curt until the desk staff warmed their welcome. Couldn’t check in 5 minutes early. Although the property is generally I’m good order and clean there were some issues with the air con during the stay, which seemed to stop working every 2 or so hours and wasn’t very cool, meaning the room was a bit of a sweat box when the sun blasted it. Also a bit of a design flaw in the room only having USB-A sockets next to the bed, with no plug sockets nearby. Breakfast was also a bit basic.

Very central to the event we were attending, the room was spacious and well equipped but felt tired and used, the sink sloped, possibly cause it was damaged by someone sitting on it so water would splash out on to your clothes when you ran the taps. The air conditioning could not cope with the heat of the weekend and would error over night leaving the room very hot at about 4am. For that I'd probably look at another hotel the next time I was in Birmingham

Unfortunately, this property did not live up to the standards and the costs! I was given an accessible room despite me not booking one. They couldn’t change it for me because in the other room, AC was not working, all for me to find out that you can’t set a temperature below 19 degrees in this hotel! I am not sure what people are supposed to do in hotter weather! Breakfast was really standard for such a big chain. Will not be staying again!

It’s clean and a pretty hotel it need maintenance though paint is chipping off the skirting board the ceilings and walls need some paint they look dirty there was tape on the ceiling from the last people who stayed food is awful apart from the fries 10/10 staff are judgy

Overall I was satisfied with my one night stay at the Radisson Blu Birmingham. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient and the room was of good quality. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff attentive. Despite its very modern exterior appearance the property is beginning to show its age. The bathroom floor tiles were clean, but needed polishing or replacing. There were no convenient electrical sockets, meaning having to leave charging items on the floor. The USB sockets were loose. There are no windows that open, and the heating / air system only goes down to 19°C. There is no cooling function, meaning the room is warm and stuffy. I imagine this would be very uncomfortable in summer.

The room was clean and spacious, bath with shower. Slept really well. Room was warm, although if I'd had a look at the thermostat I'm sure it would've been fine. On check out they tell you your deposit will be refunded immediately or within the next day or too, still waitng nearly 48hrs later! Absolutely shocking. The air con had stopped working but this information wasn’t given to us. We checked in and overhead another guest talking about the lack of air con so we asked and were sheepishly told we could either have a refund or a fan. We went to the room to assess the situation and it was awful. We received about 8 emails prior to check in, asking if we wanted to upgrade our stay but no one thought to pre warn us of the biblical temperatures. We were told that the air con in the building wasn’t sufficient to service all the rooms to the degree of heat we’ve been having which would seem to be a massive oversight for a chain as big as Radisson. As it was so late in the day, we couldn’t find alternative accommodation so had to return home instead which ruined a birthday weekend that we had planned. Luckily we managed to find alternative accommodation the next day but I feel a lot more could have been done by the staff and hotel. Surely there is a sister hotel they could have contacted or at least tried to fix the situation but they couldn’t have cared less. They very much gave the air of just trying to get away with it as best as they could and were trying to keep as much business through omittance of truth. Absolutely diabolical way to treat customers.

Staff were very helpful and location was perfect . Unfortunately on arrival no one had filled the handwash or shower gel , so had to request someone to do this . The aircon was extremely noisy and could not control the temperature of the shower , extremely hot and could have been dangerous.

The welcome was initially curt until the desk staff warmed their welcome. Couldn’t check in 5 minutes early. Although the property is generally I’m good order and clean there were some issues with the air con during the stay, which seemed to stop working every 2 or so hours and wasn’t very cool, meaning the room was a bit of a sweat box when the sun blasted it. Also a bit of a design flaw in the room only having USB-A sockets next to the bed, with no plug sockets nearby. Breakfast was also a bit basic.

Very central to the event we were attending, the room was spacious and well equipped but felt tired and used, the sink sloped, possibly cause it was damaged by someone sitting on it so water would splash out on to your clothes when you ran the taps. The air conditioning could not cope with the heat of the weekend and would error over night leaving the room very hot at about 4am. For that I'd probably look at another hotel the next time I was in Birmingham

Unfortunately, this property did not live up to the standards and the costs! I was given an accessible room despite me not booking one. They couldn’t change it for me because in the other room, AC was not working, all for me to find out that you can’t set a temperature below 19 degrees in this hotel! I am not sure what people are supposed to do in hotter weather! Breakfast was really standard for such a big chain. Will not be staying again!

It’s clean and a pretty hotel it need maintenance though paint is chipping off the skirting board the ceilings and walls need some paint they look dirty there was tape on the ceiling from the last people who stayed food is awful apart from the fries 10/10 staff are judgy

Overall I was satisfied with my one night stay at the Radisson Blu Birmingham. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient and the room was of good quality. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff attentive. Despite its very modern exterior appearance the property is beginning to show its age. The bathroom floor tiles were clean, but needed polishing or replacing. There were no convenient electrical sockets, meaning having to leave charging items on the floor. The USB sockets were loose. There are no windows that open, and the heating / air system only goes down to 19°C. There is no cooling function, meaning the room is warm and stuffy. I imagine this would be very uncomfortable in summer.
