Great reception staff, lovely hotel, clean and modern

Stayed for work recently. Staff efficient and friendly enough and clean enough but it's all a bit dated and tired now. Area not great after dark but that's common enough for city center hotels. Room very dated, shower leaking all over the room as no seal between glass and bath top, toilet flush very noisy and water running continuously. View from window was a brick wall even 8 floors up. Earplugs supplied which I used as noise from the corridor and room next door so sound insulation not fantastic.

The hotel is in a good local and the staff are excellent. The room needs some maintenance as there’s a hand support bar to the toilet which is coming off the wall and some of the towels had marks on them the room is really spacious though with a massive bed and good views

I really liked the softer bed and pillows (compared to some other similar starred hotels nearby). Comfy, quiet and spacious room (superior room) with a panoramic view. Nice bathroom with bath and complimentary bath salts. Curtains were showing a little sign of wear, and the drawing rods didn’t all work. Aircon seemed to work almost too well in the room, and there was an electric heater which I’m not sure was working or not. But most importantly, I slept well. Breakfast was good, although I would have preferred more variety of artisanal bread to make toast. There was a smaller selection of cut fruit than at other hotels I’ve stayed. Bar was nice, but disappointingly the bartender said that they were stopping serving drinks at 10:30pm, which I thought was a little early. Conveniently located for proximity to New Street Rail Station.

Nice size premium room but very random use of space. In need of a massive refurbishment as it’s tired. Great bed linen and facilities in room. Traffic noise was significant even when we were on floor 9

This was sadly not a great experience. I was checked in and was issued a room. I went into the room only to find that it was not clean with the previous occupants used cups still out. I went back to reception and was issued a new room. The AC in this room was not working so I had to go back to reception to complain about this. They sent a maintenance man who came to repair the vent. The room was still warm after this. This is not a four star hotel, the service and experience was terrible

Good stay, nice room,clean. staff were nice, initial problem with the air conditioning. reception sorted the problem quickly and moved my room. Friendly and rectified quickly

Our stay there made our trip to the theatre even better. Such lovely helpful staff. I have a bad hand which makes me clumsy, I knocked a full mug of tea over the whole breakfast table and the Irish waiter couldn't have been more helpful or kinder to me.

Really nice stayed before year’s ago and great reasonably priced hotel, very central and only a short 10 minute walk to new street railway station. Will definitely recommend a stay and the food was lovely - I had room service - was the best
