駅から近いのは最大のメリットでした。建物は19世紀風で趣がありました。ただ、カーテンが埃だらけだったこと、そのカーテンがレールから落ちかかってしまったこと、床にときどきなにか汚れが落ちていたことが気になりました。それ以外はとてもよかったです。

Very dependable hotel, it is next to the train station very convenient to everything. They have a gym and sauna plus steam room. It was good

Good central location and friendly, helpful staff. A large Victorian building that is probably very expensive to maintain in good condition. My standard room was clean but needed a refresh, especially the moth-eaten carpet. The moths were visible.

Amber at reception was top notch - I got a very friendly and cheerful welcome, helping me to settle in with a complimentary visit to the leisure centre. Chilled!

An ideal stay for a short trip to Newcastle. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was as expected for what we paid: spacious and well laid out with tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge. It was a bit dated, but that didn’t affect our stay. The pool was run-down and not worth the extra £5 to be able to use.

Great position, able to walk straight there through the station, felt like we were doing a grand tour by train. Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable and it was helpful to have dinner and breakfast there, plus a swim before continuing our travels.

Booked small double it did what we needed was clean and had what was needed . Pillows bit hard otherwise fine

Poor attitude from staff to a group of disabled (visually impaired) guests with no reasonable adjustments to check in process. Dogmatic jobsworth staff at reception (though to be fair notably a manager stepped in effectively later and “took ownership” to resolve some issues and find the lost bag). Bag taken by porter to a room unconnected to the group and not found for several hours after a trawl of hotel CCTV. Deposit insisted on in case we used mini bar in the room but fridge broken and empty. Double occupancy couple put in single room and vice versa. Bedroom window propped open by a mug on the window sill (on the fourth floor in a room occupied by blind person) was an accident waiting to kill someone on the pavement outside. Very noisy rooms with obviously no soundproofing. Definitely not a hotel to ever use by any group organiser.

No hot water and lack of information for guest regarding this.
