Overall, I do not recommend this hotel for your stay. Yes, ocean view is wonderful. That's all. Other points are not worth with its price. You should check other hotels, even if this hotel is cheaper than others. It is clean, but equipments are old enough. This hotel seems to be owned by Chinese, there are many items from China, including restaurant. Breakfast is toast with butter and jam, boiled egg, fruits, coffee/tea: too simple for the price. You should not order taxi from front: (one of )the driver seems to be a relative of receptionist, not a taxi driver. It costs 70 TOP, seems higher than usual taxi fee. The driver always use one's cellphone, sometimes without holding steering! When we arrived at the airport, the driver said nothing (such as "here we are" "thank you" "see you") and doesn't get out of the car to help luggages; just received money.

シービューならば景色は最高。水平線から上がる太陽が素晴らしいです

スタッフがフレンドリーで親切でした。海岸沿いで、中心地にも近く便利でした。海岸沿いの道路を、大音量で走る車が多く、その時は音が響きました。また部屋の中のセーフティボックスやドアのチェーンが壊れたままで、修繕されていませんでした。フロントに頼めば、貴重品を預かってくれるようでした。 ホテル1階の中華料理屋は日曜も開いていたので、助かりました。

お部屋の広さやお湯が出ることは評価できます。が、中華料理の匂いがすること、黴くさいこと、が困ったところです

The best hotel in Tonga to stay. Friendly customers services, rooms clean and comfortable and food delicious, fast service and price is right. This is my hotel of choices. Security officer boy he is so friendly. Thank you officer!!

I was disappointed with my stay at the Emerald hotel. The cost was fairly expensive compared with staying in NZ…but the room, service and breakfast were poor. The bathroom was not clean…towels were grubby…towels were not in the room when arriving after midnight nor was milk for a cup of tea. Floor in shower was dangerously slippery for elderly folks. Tv took 30 minutes to connect and get going…next night it did not go again as it was not explained a different tuning was needed. Communication on many such points was poor or non existent. The continental breakfast was poor…2 pieces of white toast lump of jam. 2 pieces of fruit. 2 boiled eggs….EVERY DAY…not good for competitive athletes…no cook to provide alternatives. Office lady was friendly and helped carry heavy bag upstairs.

The Emerald Hotel was a lovely place to stay. Those who worked there were so kind and friendly. We loved our stay. A special thanks to Nai on the reception.

The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond to help solve any issues, close to downtown and market, lots withing walking distance, on the waterfront

I booked a ground floor room but didnt get it, the fridg was on the floor and it was rust only one chair next to the table one curtain which didn't cover the window, Broken shower door and broken toilet roll holder

The mattress is not so fantastic (old and makes a lot of noise) and cleaning is not done routinely. They clean only on request. This is contrary to my experience in the hotels back home in Nigeria, where cleaning is routine.

My booking was for a garden view room & I was pleasantly surprised upon check in to find that I had been upgraded to the sea view room, what a lovely notion that was! Th

Hotel room is too outdated and old,some lighting no works,matress was uncomfortable, you can feel mattress springs easily. Buffet Breakfast reminder me my military service when we was on combat zone! It is just 2 slice toast,one spoon jam,one piece of fruit and one smal cap of coffee!only thing was good about Staff,they been so friendly and welcoming.

Grande chambre mais ameublement viellot, Television et réfrigérateur qui ne marchent pas. Salle de douche correcte, à rafraîchir. Acceuil minimal, pas d'attention particulière, problem non traité (TV).

The staff, including the restaurant are excellent. I can't say enough of the warm hospitality that was offered me throughout my 2 week stay. The hotel is well situated to lively nightime food options, walking along the waterfront, and close to town. The hotel is a little tired, but it also had its charm. Do yourself a favour and book one of the rooms facing the water - evenings on the patio taking in the ambiance are well worth the few extra $$ (versus a room with no balcony). Will definately go back to the Emerald. Thanks to the staff - wonderful!

Helaas deze keer een slechte beoordeling. De badkamer was vreselijk. Uitgeslagen badkranen, alles slecht. Moet in zijn geheel gerenoveerd worden. Wc trok niet goed door. Airconditioning in het Chinees. Een safe die al jaren uit gebruik is. Ongeïnteresseerde receptioniste en vonken uit het stopcontact, roest bij de ijskast, dit lijkt me wel genoeg er was nog meer. Probeerde manager mee te nemen maar die had opeens een belangrijke meeting en schoof het af naar de gezellige receptioniste kortom wanbeleid. Enige mooie was de grootte van de kamer en een veranda van wel 36 m2 . Alles was verder zeer outdated.

Over priced , the property is. Falling apart with dust mites eating the furniture , door frame are falling off. Breakfast is 7.00 to 9.00 , you should go down as the is on milk in the room the have coffee or tea not even a spoon.
