On arrival at 2.05pm we had to wait over 20 minutes to check in as there was no receptionist and a big queue formed. No apology was offered and the receptionist started chatting to the woman in front about what she was going to do during her stay, read the room! Internet was dreadful despite it being promoted. Shower gel in the wall mounted container dribbled out slowly. Bed was comfortable but the room was very dated.

Horrible Easy Stay Hotel, Hope Island QG stay experience. Reception staff were never available to help as the TV didn't work because of no wifi. There was two fish and chips meals half eaten and left on the kitchen order counter, which was distrubing to see, because their was not waiters to clean. I waited a while but there was never any reception staff around to get help. There was no hotel room landline phone to the reception staff. A hotel person came to my door asking if I had a wifi box, I don't have one visible in the room so she left without fixing the TV internet connection. The Easy Stay Hotel room door was difficult to lock up and the screen door lock was broken. There was dirty marks over the walls and floors. The bathroom and kitchen had cockroaches, cockroaches legs left on the floor tiles. There was no tea towel to wipe up glasses or a tea cup. The toilet seat was the wrong size so it was crockered on the toilet and keep sliding off the toilet seat. The curtains were worn and their rails were broken so curtains were not held secure. The bed doonas were very worn and badly stained and not usage. I left two days early and asked for a refund at reception as it was depressing accommodation and not as advertised. I was told I would get an automatic refund however I have not received a refund to-date.

Upon arriving we were shocked at the lack of customer service provided by the staff member at the reception desk. We were not greeted with a pleased to see you attitude welcome to our resort. We asked for a trolley for our luggage to take to our room and was told with a shrug don't know where there is one. In our room it was obvious the room needed to be renovated....eg: rust around the bottom of the glass shower screen. Our room did not have a toaster and no provision to even make a light snack. On the pleasant side the view from our room was lovely and looked to the marina etc. We would give this complex a 2star rating and on the whole was a huge disappointment to us both. We will not come back again and not encourage our family or friends to stay at the complex.

You get what you pay for!

On arrival there was no one at reception and bar staff just pointed to the kitchen and said someone is over there. When i went over and rang the bell no one came. So I went back to reception and rang that bell. Still no one, I went back to kitchen and rang again. This time someone came. We walked over to reception and was then told completely breakfast was not included Once in the room we had no internet service, even after logging into the hotels internet. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the cupboard. Over all not a pleasant stay.

The staff checking you in were kids with absolutely No Knowledge and not at all helpful. Had to go to reception to ask for clean towels lifts breaking down daily had to walk down 3 flights of stairs with suitcase stairs were slippery Would not recommend this hotel

A reasonably priced stay for age and services.

Really good stay, just a bit noisy late at night. Otherwise it’s awesome.

Manager was friendly and helpful. Decor very tired and not well maintained. Broken fixtures. Electrical fault with lights (very dim compared with neighboring room, and when turned off, one continued to glow a bit for entire 3 day stay. Musty aircon. Restaurant was closed on night we were going to use it so can't comment on it

We booked Studio Apartment with Harbour View. We were offered what would be best described as an apartment that was in a corridor, with a corridor view. Absolutely terrible room. At the reception, the staff said that they did not have any Harbour view rooms...then told us yes they found one. Well the one they gave us was not a harbour view room at all. The room was what would be described as a pool access room, and when we went outside, the sliding door fell of its hinges. This needs to be treated as a 2 star accommodation at best.

Great value for money pub down stairs was great fun

We were unhappy with the quality of the room. The issues were as follows: The floors and bathroom were dirty with mould inside and outside the shower. The cistern was cracked with what appeared to be attempts to glue it back together. The bedding and one of the towels was stained. The upper cupboards where the glasses were stored upside down were dirty with dust and dirt touching the glasses. We found a dead cockroach in one of the lower drawers. The room was never serviced over the 4 nights we stayed there - not even the rubbish was removed. We requested fresh towels on day three but the old towels were never taken away. Two live cockroaches were seen in the room and dispatched down the toilet. The fly screen had a damaged open corner where insects could have easily entered the room. One of the beds easily rolled away from the wall, allowing the pillows to drop down the gap. Overall, our expectations of an "Expedia approved" 4-star hotel, were clearly not met. The only good aspect of this hotel is the great atmosphere in the small bar at the back of the grand lobby area, where the bar staff and live music made up for the shocking room quality!

Quiet spot on the marina. A little tired, could do with a refresh. We had a nice stay. Great Thai and breakfast locations within walking distance.

The best

I was happy with the room for the price. However The tv remote hardly worked. There were just 4 x teabags for two day stay, and just enough long life milk for just 2 x cuppas. No biscuits etc. Just the very basics. Staff at check it couldn't tell me about what amenities they had.

Stayed there approx 20 yrs ago - looks like no maintenance has been done on property- room very tired curtains falling off hooks - fly screen old - mould in shower- one bin. Fridge running poorly needs replacing. Lighting in room very dull - overall needs a major upgrade to property
