The phone number for the hostel on Google didn't pick up. The phone number on the email confirmation was wrong. I told the reception when I arrived and she seemed so disinterested is was almost funny. The google maps entry for this hostel notes there is parking, but there isn't. The receptionist recommended parking nearby which had a 4 hour limit, I'm not sure if she's aware people stay overnight in hotels. The communal bathrooms were dirty with loo roll everywhere. The rail on the bunk bed was snapped off and had been re secured with cable ties, so it's a matter of time before someone falls off the top bunk. A piece of glass was missing from the window.

Good location. Good decoration. 5 star staff. Clean room. I recommend this place and I will definitely stay there again

Bkack mold in the room and shower. Bathroom light was automatic but took hours to turn back off and bathroom door didnt close from the outside so the light would keep you up. Musty smell in the room and no window

It was a serviceable place to stay. We booked a en-suite double, which had a very unique layout in Room 8, with the shower/sink area being an open area. Bed was extremely comfortable as a plus point. They didn't initially give us towels for the room at check in, so had to go back up get them. Walls are quite thin as we could hear people clearing talking, and later, loudly snoring in one of the dorm rooms next door. The room had basic amenities for the price. It was fine for a one night stop over for work. The reception/lounge area is quite nice and had a great aesthetic using the original brick work, so the presentation in the entrance isn't lacking.

We had a Family room as there were 4 of us. Room was perfect for what we needed. However, checking in was a struggle. Whoever I had at the desk was very distant focus wise when we approached. On my booking, their checking in police was stated as: - Check-in time starts at 3:00 PM - Check-in time ends at midnight - Minimum check-in age is: 18. I approached the small desk with my booking number (the email confirmation) at the desk. The very half arsed guy asked for ID, which wasn't a requirement. I've been to many hotels prior and have never been asked that. He made it difficult trying to say I need proof of ID, which I never carry a wallet. He then asked if I had a photo of ID, which is wrong even if asking for ID. Now despite this I was happy we had our room as this was for a 30th Birthday Celebration in BHam, but it ended up not being the end of this. Said guy that sorted our digital keys set them up to expire a day earlier than we were supposed to leave. Shout out to the other receptionist James, he sorted out our keys and realised the other dopey guy made an mistake. Genuinely had a good experience with him and made me feel welcomed.

Unfortunately on arrival was told the double room we paid for wasn’t available and was given a dorm with bunk beds. We had checked in in advance and arrived at 10pm so had no other option but to stay. The room was fine, just a little cold and couldn’t close the curtains so was very bright in the morning. Just frustrating when the double was paid for and had no choice but to accept a bunk bed.

A great place for the City centre about 15 minutes walk away. No parking, tv or kettle, but good rooms, friendly staff and budget friendly.

I checked in around 9pm the guy on the reception was very friendly and welcoming. Very ambient and relaxed environment. Very cooperative staff need ironing so they provided all what I need. Beds are good with privacy curtains, so get your own little space. Not sure about the kitchen, food and wifi bcs haven’t tried. Overall experience really good feels like I am home. Next time I am definitely coming in this fraction of price

Premises were clean, staff was nice and helpful. Hostel is 15-20min walking distance from city center and in an area with lots of restaurants and bars.

Was ok fir one night

Really happy, I stayed in one of the private rooms and was pleasantly surprised. Nicely decorated and a great location for central Birmingham.

I had a fantastic stay overall and would definitely recommend this place. The room was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and really well set up. There were plenty of plugs exactly where you need them, which made charging devices easy, and having a table and cupboard right by the bed was a small touch that made a big difference for convenience. The WiFi was excellent! Super fast and reliable throughout my stay, which is always a big plus. The communal and relaxation areas were also really nicely done, with a great atmosphere and plenty of space to unwind or sit and work.With books, board games etc. I also loved the views of the BT tower from the balcony, which added something special to the whole experience. Location-wise, it’s ideal—very close to Snow Hill, making it easy to get around and perfect for exploring the area. The only minor issue was that there weren’t any mugs in the kitchen. However, as soon as I asked, staff were quick to provide one and even let me keep it for the entire stay, which I really appreciated. It’s that kind of helpful and accommodating service that stands out. Considering the quality of the facilities, the location, and the overall experience, I thought it was great value for money. A really enjoyable stay and I’d happily come back again.
