We really enjoyed our stay at The Marriot Brisbane, It is in a great spot near the river with great views, we had a great deal which included valet parking and breakfast which was fabulous as parking in the city can be hard and very expensive. The breakfast was really nice with a good variety of yummy food. Close to a great walk along the river with access to restaurants. I will definitely consider staying there again

The customer service here was outstanding. Absolutely every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and professional. The hotel was excellent and Motion restaurant food was very tasty and the chef came to our table to make sure everything was fine with our meal. Thank you to Jemma on reception, Simon at the bar and everyone who served us and made our stay memorable for all the right reasons.

Breakfast was great but started late (7 on weekends) so missed one morning as had to leave for airport before opened and rushed the day before because of a meeting. Room was nice but very dim, even in bathroom lighting was poor. Water provided had tops impossible to open

TV didn’t work. Water pressure almost non-existent, especially the hot water. Only 2 cups despite the room being booked for 3 people (there were two queen size beds in the room). Worn cupboard doors (laminate worn off). I’ve stayed here before and never really had a problem with it. It should have been a nice place to stay but didn’t really live up to the price. Mentioned the issues to the reception on leaving and they said they’d get engineering to look at it. No offer of compensation in any form for the sub standard product and service provided. Quite disappointing all round.

Almost missed my event as my luggage was delayed being delivered to my room & I had to chase it up for an hour. The mini bar in the room had nothing in it but a tiny long life milk. The buffet breakfast was far too busy and had to wait ages for bacon or to use toaster or make a coffee. Staff were all lovely though and had smiles and great service. They did upgrade us to an executive room upon arrival not sure what was any different to the room besides maybe the level.

Overall a lovely hotel and beautiful staff . Breakfast was a bit limited . Just standard . The bacon ran out and was not cooked well . What was left in the pan was cold . Cooks needed to fill bacon station regularly. Eggs cooked for you were very good but took some time which is okay and came later . The fruit was a disappointment and the way it was presented. It was cut in tiny cubes !! Strawberries would have been nice as they are in season. The toast station was a bit untidy and the bread types weren’t very nice . The Jams even though there were a good selection putting a spoon in The jar is very poor presentation. Jams were mixed up with others on the spoon . Bed comfort not great the bed and pillows were hard and very uncomfortable. The hotel staff were outstanding and we felt we were looked after on our special stay. I think the breakfast needs attention to detail .

Three of us in room, not enough seating, power points not all working, , they moved us to another room, same problems all over again. Couldn’t see a sign about a charge for water until we were moved to the second room, all in all unpleasant three nights

Reception gave me another ladies check-in details, did not get a free bottle of wine as requested until after dinner instead of at check-in, waited 30 mins to be served lunch whilst no one else was there for food.
