ibis Styles Canberra

Nothing like my two previous stays. Dirty old rooms. Live electrical sockets with hanging cover. Dirty room, which stank. Poor restaurant and poor service. Very disappointed by the whole experience.

Friendly staff. Web site advertised over 200 in house movies but staff informed movies not available and also free to air channels 10 sbs and abc not available on tv. Room clean but had scuff marks on walls and doors.

Stayed in a family room and worth for the price. Highly recommended.

Good location and very adequate accommodation for a reasonable rate. Room and bed all good and shower pressure excellent. Parking is great but it gets very busy at night time but can still find a spot around the location.

No parking available as stated on website. Called reception 3 times and told to message no response! Check in was extremely SLOW!

The hotel was well organised and well run and the staff in the restaurant at breakfast were very obliging and were able to provide me with rolled oats required by my diet. Our only difficulty was in relation to a gift voucher from our children of $350 which they had purchased from the hotel which we produced on arrival at Reception. I had the Sunday before last also sent the hotel an email giving full details of the voucher. The manager at Reception agreed that they had received my email but had not made any reply. He claimed that he could not identify the voucher but as we had fully paid for the cost of the room for 3 nights, he would allow a credit of $150 representing the cost of breakfast for my wife and me leaving a shortfall of $200 in relation to the gift voucher. He did not offer to investigate the matter to satisfy himself that the gift voucher was entirely valid and issued on the hotel stationery with a photo of the hotel. Needless to say, we are very disappointed and to spare our children from disappointment we have decided not to tell them of the failure of the hotel to recognise and give full effect to their gift voucher!

Good motel, easy parking. Clean, my room looked a bit basic, but it does the job well.

My husband and I had the best time while staying in Canberra and especially at the ibis Styles. The hotel is close to everything and very near a small shopping centre if you need anything. The rooms are a little older but beautifully clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was probably the best service we have had anywhere in all the hotels we have stayed at. The staff were just amazing, very attentive and no reqest was too small. I would like to personally thank Nathan for support and making us feel very special, and especially going out of his way to make our stay something memorable. We loved the meals at night, not a huge selection but the portion sizes were great and the food very delicious. I would have to say the only negitive thing was breakfast, the eggs were horrible and tasted like dried egg. Breakfast needs a few more choices and would be great Again thank you Nathan and to the bar staff as well, they keep the hotel running smoothly and getting people to return.

Good place to stay over

We had a low battery smoke alarm beeping in our room and tried to get the reception staff to fix it - they came once and it temporarily stopped but at 2am it started beeping again and the reception phones wouldn’t work. Tried enquiring at reception in the morning and they said it’d get fixed but by noon there was no change. Back at reception everyone was on break. Eventually we did get a room replacement though which made it ok

Unfortunately our stay was less than enjoyable!! Night 1: arrive to find room still Dirty and beds not made properly, have photos of rubbish left behind and dirty mark in bathroom and behind door, along with what look like cigarette burns, wifi and phone lines out!! Had to walk back to reception to ask about wifi, was met with uninterested desk clerk, who advised one hour max!! Morning 1: still no Wifi!!!!! Buffet breakfast less than average, watery scrambled eggs and bacon and sausages as tough as all boot leather, spoke to staff (different but still uninterested) about wifi, was advised it had been rectified returned to room I. Seperate building, we walk back…….no wifi, upset kids!! We go about our day!! Return that evening, still no Wifi, still uninterested staff, advised it will be rectified immediately (it wasn’t) Night 2: children from other rooms running up and down hallway, knocking on doors and running off, again staff didn’t really care!! Morning 2 (checkout) breakfast was slightly better, staff still seemed pre occupied, then whilst packing up our belongings, found more left Over rubbish from previous guests under bed!!! Will not be returning, will be pursuing hotel for full refund!!!! For the money we spent, looking for nice weekend getaway we could have done a roadside motel for half the price and had the same quality.. Summary: Rooms dated and damaged, pics make it look way more attractive than what we walked into. Staff less than helpful Hesitant to re
