The staff was so friendly. The layout and atmosphere was such a good feeling, it felt like being outdoors by the reception and restaurant area.

Older property. We booked two rooms which were above the parking gate which was noisy until after 11pm we were pleased to be moved for the second night. The showers are above a bath so not good for disabled. Staff were helpful and kind.

I asked staff twice to have the bathroom bin emptied from the previous occupant. It was full of used female hygiene products.
It was still there when I checked out.

Room was good clean and well presented. However did not appreciate the cleaner knocking on our room door at 8.45 and asking us when we were going to leave. This made us feel unwelcome and spoilt what was a really a quite pleasant stay.

I was booked to stay 2 nights. I had an accident after checking in the first afternoon which resulted with me having to stay in hospital. I phoned from the hospital the first night with the understanding I would not be able to get a refund but requested one for the second night and they very bluntly refused.
They had plenty of notice to rebook the room for the second nigh (which I’m sure they would have). I feel like there was no compassion shown for my unfortunate situation and rather greedy for a city motel. Plenty of other options around the same area for my next stay in Canberra.

Having stayed here in a 1-bedroom apartment for several days about 15 years ago, we were happy to return for a 3-night stay in February 2025. The unit was spacious, quiet and provided everything we would need for a stay of any length. The full kitchen allowed us to eat in the unit when we wished, and the sitting area was spacious and comfortable. The included daily copy of the Sydney Morning Herald was welcome, as is the recent addition of a light-rail service along Northbourne.
If we have a chance to visit Canberra again, we will look to the Pavilion as our first choice for accommodation.
