LSE Carr-Saunders Hall - Campus Accommodation

i have stayed in 2 other LSE properties in the past - LSE bankside in 2017 and LSE Rosebery Hall in 2021. i think LSE Carr-Saunders is probably the worse mainly because there was a VERY LONG QUEUE at the restaurant. i waited in line for 30 minutes, the corridor was narrow, the line was moving slow, soo many people for food. Poor crowd control. you should learn from LSE Bankside. their dining hall is spacious and the lines move fast. only 2 lifts but one was not in service, so had to wait a very long time for the one and only lift which was always full at breakfast.

Great value and location

I've stayed at three other LSE dorms and loved them. This one is just not good. The doors all bang at all hours so it's impossible to sleep. There are no quiet rooms -- one side faces a busy street and the other, a courtyard filled with rubbish skips that are emptied -- loudly -- at all hours. Worst was the laundry. It wouldn't take our cards and there is no way to pay with cash. The staff tried to help but could do nothing. We left for Italy with bags full of dirty clothes. The breakfast is good, but the line to get it, especially on the weekends, is endless. We ended up taking food to our room because we couldn't find a seat. And the room? It was a sauna. We left window open all day but it remained too hot to sleep. Common toilets are always dirty inside and this is NOT the staff's fault. It's just cheap, shoddy design. I guess the builders thought this was good enough for poor students, but it's really not. What kind of place, in this day and age, tells you not to drink the water from the tap in your own room? I feel sorry for students forced to live here. We were glad to get out, though we love London so much!

Otel merkezi bir yerde bulunuyor metrodan sonra ulaşım kolay oldu. Ancak otelde banyo ve duşların her iki cinsiyet içinde ayrı olduğunu bilmiyorduk büyük ihtimalle biz araştırırken görmedik. Tuvalet ve duşların çift cinsiyetli olmasından ötürü deneyimimiz çok güzel olmadı ama tekrar belirtmek isterim ki büyük ihtimalle otelin sayfasında bu bilgi yer alıyordu.

Excellent accommodation for the price but strong smell in the common showers and toilets Shower cubicles need more hooks

Very noisy so please be aware of this if you're a light sleeper. It's very basic accommodation which is what you expect for the price. It's very functional if you simply want a place to rest your head without any frills. The breakfast is decent but long queues for drinks as only one machine.

Splendid situation and excellent staff and good Lean accommation throughput

We liked the room, the breakfast and the hotel location.

You get what you pay for... Can't really complain for the price. Noise moved round the building - was on 5th floor so could hear them setting up and eating breakfast on the floor above, or people in the kitchen next door. Showers were ok, although most of the hooks are useless so have to pick your shower carefully if you don't want your (quite small) towel on the shower floor. Had a sink in the room which was good, although a shame it isn't drinking water from the tap. Breakfast buffet has a bit of everything and a real bonus that it was included. Can imagine the 8am start is a bit late for some business travellers, but was great for me.

It turns out that there ARE bargains to be had in London! After a small problem with my room on check-in, resolved by moving me to another (better) room, I found the room and facilities clean and comfortable. They're very basic but for £54 I thought it a fantasic bargain and I'd probably stay again.

Good kitchen facilities to heat up food or make a hot drink

Great to find such reasonably-priced accommodation in London and with breakfast included. Good location too.

Conveniently located student housing, in better condition than quite some other accommodations I've come across in London. Staff was kind and helpful. Shared kitchens provide the means to avoid eating out at all times.

Very kind and helpful staff, clean bedroom, shared facilities like showers and bathrooms were fine too.

The accommodation is extremely good value for a private room in a very central London location. With breakfast included too that makes this well worth considering if you're visiting the West end on a budget. Although not en suite the bathroom facilities are nearby and clean. There is also a kitchen area available on each floor. The rooms are basic and comfortable enough.

Great value price given central London location and including breakfast. Would use again.
