Staff were great and attentive. Particularly those serving at breakfast. Room was super cosy and cute. Only issue was that the smell of drainage hit us as soon as we opened our hotel room door - we were room 3. Fantastic stay otherwise and would definitely recommend.

We stayed for 2nights, I originally booked a cozy room but was upgraded on arrival, the room was beautiful, fresh cookies everyday , tea coffee replenished, the bed so comfortable, the location was perfect for getting around the Cotswolds and at night the hotel looked was stunning loved the water wheel , we ate at the restaurant one night and the food was delicious I can’t fault the hotel at all

The room was ok .. spacious bedroom area although the bathroom was tiny and the door opened into it so that made it even smaller. There was a large cobweb on the bathroom ceiling. The staff that “welcomed” us at check in and I use that term extremely loosely were sadly lacking in customer service skills. We had to ask where the room was and even then the directions weren’t helpful. There was another member of staff sitting around doing nothing which looks very unprofessional. One of our bathroom towels was dirty and I asked the reception staff if someone could replace it with a clean one. No apology which was disappointing. Similarly when we checked out no one bothered asking if everything had been ok with our stay.
I will however say that the food in the restaurant is exceptional. We had dinner on the Saturday evening and the restaurant was very busy as you would expect. Service was excellent, friendly waiting staff and the food was out of this world. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.
I would definitely recommend the restaurant but steer clear of the hotel. Very disappointed.

Lovely hotel and restaurant but the walls were paper thin so had a very bad experience trying to sleep. The room was also pretty small so felt like the value was a bit off. Could hear conversations clearly and cleaning team and front desk were especially loud early both days. Lovely people though, and if you were just going to eat it’s a great spot.

A lovely hotel situated in a good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Superior room was excellent. A nice size with a double shower and bath. Bed was comfy. Hotel restaurant had a good choice and food was of a very good standard. Breakfast particularly set us up well for the day. Hotel staff were also welcoming and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
