We had an overall good stay in Bologna. The hotel’s location is unbeatable — right on the main piazza, with restaurants, museums, and churches just steps away. We walked everywhere, even from the train station (about 20 minutes).
Breakfast was a highlight, offering a nice selection of quality items — fresh bread, cheese, prosciutto, yogurt, fruit, eggs — plus cappuccinos made to order. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and our room’s balcony was the best feature: perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and having an electric kettle with tea options was a nice touch.
On the downside, the room felt quite dated, with old decor and a few wall stains. The shower water pressure was poor, which was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There were also no blackout curtains or air conditioning, which affected comfort.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the location, balcony, and breakfast, but the hotel could definitely use some updates to match its great setting.
