Sheraton Ottawa Hotel

The staffer actually pretty good very kind. It is difficult to reach all places if you need assistance as I do. The hotel is a little bit in need of renovation and they say they're going to be doing it soon.

Rooms are fairly spacious. BUT extremely worn out. In particular the bathroom.

When we arrived at the hotel around 4pm, the staff told me our room was not ready yet and asked us to check in after 6pm and I asked her to at least do some upgrade on our room because of inconvenience and she said yes. When we came back to hotel after 7pm, the room was ready, but the room they assigned us was on the third floor, the lowest floor for the rooms on the hotel, which means they didn't provide us any upgrade at all even though we are Mariott Gold Elite member. That was still OK with us as long as we could have quiet and cozy night. However, the real problem was there was a party on second floor banquet room on Saturday night, from which music was played so loud that I couldn't sleep at all. First, I went down to reception desk after 11pm to check when the party would be over and she told me in an half hour. However, the music didn't stop till 1 pm and I went down again very frustrated and asked her again when the party would be end. And she said she would ask to lower the music to the party and maybe a half hour later music finally stopped. What I was so upset from this stay was that the hotel assinged our family on the third floor even though they knew a big party would go on the first night we stayed there. And even after late check-in because they didn't prepare our room on time. Check-in was supposed to be available from 3pm as long as I know. This hotel doesn't care for the customer at all. For the record, we paid more than $1,000 for two night stay.

Good location, great staff, they were all very helpful and attentive. Rooms could use some upgrades but big enough and had everything I needed. I stayed before this time and I'll go back

Clean room.

The bathroom did not function well. Toilet was very slow to flush, sinks were cracked. Did not expect that in this level of hotel. But the food service on the 17th floor was amazing and the young woman serving us was amazing! She gets a golden star from me!

The breakfast, was excellent, The personal was very nice and very helpful and respectful 🙏

The hotel is well located and clean. The staff is excellent and the food was excellent. The hotel Needs an update, it’s a bit dated. Overall I would recommend the hotel

The breakfast was served but because of short of staff (only 2 on duty), there was a long line-up waiting for the table. We waited for our food for like 25 minutes. This was very bad

What happened to Sheraton since being managed by Marriott? Unfortunately, this was far from the Sheraton experience I expected during my stay in Ottawa this weekend. The experience started with a one-hour wait just to park the car, as there was only one valet attendant available. Check-in was slow and inefficient, and breakfast service was extremely disappointing — we waited over an hour to be served cold food. The hotel itself feels tired and run-down, and I was surprised by the lack of security, as anyone appeared able to access guest floors without a key card requirement in the elevators. Overall, this stay did not meet the standards I associate with the Sheraton brand. Considering the price, I would not recommend staying here. Don't waste your money.

Excellent service. Le personnel est fabuleux

We arrived past check-in time, we were told our room wasn’t ready yet. Came back past midnight to be told that there was no room available for us, even if we had a reservation (made 2 months earlier). We were offered a conference room set up with small beds. We never got a call or a heads up that we would not have a room. Ended up driving back home at 1am (2h drive)

The room was very clean and smelled good. The towels were terrible. Thin and scratchy. Property is well-located in downtown and close to everything. The breakfast was ok certainly not worth $30. The price was not cheap at $250 a night. I would stay again but not do the breakfast.

Very impressive by the service of reception and valet parking.
