DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent

We stayed for 2 nights 28/12 & 29/12 2025 The hotel is lovely, spacious clean rooms, comfy beds, amazingly attentive staff. The first night was great, unfortunately on the 2nd night, 29/12/2025 there was a huge wedding in one of the function rooms. The children from the wedding were running wild all around the hotel. No adults around, mess everywhere, noisy and just too much. We booked to spend time with family for Christmas. We booked to have dinner with my Mum-in -law and Aunt (88yrs &80yrs) in the hotel restaurant. This was ridiculous due to the noise and the children’s behaviour around the hotel. My Mum-in -law was knocked into a wall when she went to go to the toilet by children pushing pst her. There were so many of them that it was impossible to avoid them. I work out children and unseat s they were excited and just wanted to have fun. This was unacceptable behaviour. It spoiled our trip. We are extremely disappointed. When we mentioned to the reception at check out, after a sleepless night caused by the disruption In The corridors we were told the “bride & groom” had been spoken to about the other guests being unhappy. This isn’t good enough.

Cars were speeding around outside our hotel room all night when made my children’s sleep non existent- the hotel, staff and everything else was a solid 10/10 - cars were an issue for us and it spoilt our night away completely.

Clean and good beds pleasant staff

We have a fantastic time here. Swimming pool is brilliant and changing area is clean.

Extensive menu all fresh

Room 303 was cold and smelt of sewage , moved to 311 this was warm and cosy given a drinks voucher by reception who were very helpful ,

Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was well presented and comfortable

Wasn’t clear on Expedia that parking was chargeable

Terrible dining. Not family friendly. Service in the restaurant and food quality awful.

Xmas meal was dreadful, 1 hour after everyone else had finished mine arrived and the pie looked like a Tesco savers pie. Eton mess was a prior effort too

Great stay, issue with bar food that was sorted very quickly. Breakfast was very busy & the lady was amazing sorting everyone out with a big smile on her face.

Staff were great, room was lovely, location was convenient. Breakfast selection was good but things that should have been kept warm were cold, the lamps that were supposed to keep the food warm must have been turned down too low meaning the food was cold, it could be a one off but need to ensure the food is hotter in future.

Staff were amazing-very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool needs attention. Some of the tiles and rubber edging is hanging off.

Over priced food thats is horrible

Generelt bra hotel.

Room was lovely. The gym equipment was old and broken. I chose this hotel as I use the gym daily. 4 out of 4 cross trainers were not working correctly and very poor quality. Dissapointing.
