Bermonds Locke

Fantastic stay overall! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Tower of London, London Bridge, and so much more. The only downside was temporarily losing hot water. While I understand it was out of their control, I expected a more responsive approach or at least some form of compensation. Even getting housekeeping that day was more of a hassle than it should’ve been. That said, the experience was still great and I’d absolutely consider staying again.

We had a lovely visit to London and our hotel was well situated and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Bus stop right outside the front door. Multiple grocery stores walkable distances (1 to 5 minutes). Multiple restaurants within 10 minutes walk.

This was perfectly located. Close to the action without being in the middle of it all. The City Studio was spacious and had everything we needed. And the bed was so comfy! If you prefer not feeling like a tourist, this is the hotel and neighbourhood for you!

Great place to stay. Bus 188, right across the street to the right when you walk out the door, takes you to Waterloo Station and even deeper into the heart of London. London Bridge Station is half a mile walk and will get you anywhere you need to go in London. The room itself is spacious, clean, well appointed, and has everything you need. The weight room is small but very well put together. You can easily work out all muscle groups. We would stay here again. Our only complaint was that 4 o’clock check-in means 4 o’clock check-in. We got there at noon and they wouldn’t budge. In their defense, it’s possible that the people in our exact room had a late check out

Super stylisches Hotel mit modernem Konzept und sehr zuvorkommenden Personal. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen wieder.

Wir waren für ein Wochenende in diesem Hotel, es ist ungefähr 10 Gehminuten zur London Bridge Station entfernt, der Weg führt durch eine schöne Straße mit vielen kleinen Lokalen in denen man gut frühstücken kann. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Zimmer sehr ruhig wir hatten ein Zimmer in Richtung eines Hinterhofs wodurch man auch nichts vom Verkehr mitbekommen hat. Wir würden jeder Zeit wieder kommen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und modern eingerichtet.

Great spot for a hotel. The location was very near to a tube station making travel around the London area very easy. The next start over, Bermondsey, had several wonderful options for food and a fun night life. The staff here were also very helpful, polite, and accommodating. I highly recommend staying at Bermond's Locke for your next trip to London.

Great place to stay, lots of dining options close by, tower bridge station is 9min walk away, and theres a bus stop next to the front door as well.

Very comfortable for solo traveller. Full kitchen with washer/dryer. Friendly staff. Close to tower bridge and Tower of London. Groceries and restaurants nearby. Safe neighborhood. Only thing missing was a couch.

Really great stay - nicer gym than I've seen in most hotels, great customer service all the way through, and a simple, nice room.

We loved staying at Bermonds Locke! It was an ideal location, and check in was very smooth. We liked that the rooms had a kitchen and washer/dryer, however the dryer didn't really dry our clothes very well (NOT the hotel's issue I'm sure). The front desk staff was great. We ended up extending our stay because our flight was cancelled and we couldn't fly out until a few days later, and they were very understanding and helpful with us booking a few extra nights. The closest underground station is a 10-15 minute walk, so if that's an issue, I wouldn't stay here, but we didn't mind, and there was a grocery store across the street, which was ideal for us. I would definitely stay again!

Bermonds Locke is a treasure. The location is fantastic - very safe and a 5-minute walk from Tower Bridge and only a 10-minute walk to the trains and underground. Access from Gatwick on the train is simple and convenient. There are lots of dining options nearby. The unit was clean, and there are nearby grocery places if you prefer breakfast in. We didn't really use it, but the kitchen is very well-equipped. The laundry in the room is nice if you travel light. There is someone at the desk 24 hours a day, and they are cheerful and helpful. I would highly recommend Bermonds Locke!

Great property. Staff was excellent, room was clean and quiet, hotel had essy access to transportation. Would highly recommend!

I was really disappointed. I was looking forward to this hotel because they had solid reviews and I like the idea of having the amenities of a studio apartment so that I could cook in the room and wash clothes for my extended trip. Unfortunately, my room had flying gnats that seemed to grow in population over the two days in my first room. They moved me into another room, and I immediately noticed one gnat, but I thought maybe it just came on some of the clothes that were removed from the other room. By the evening, it was clear there was another infestation, and I even noticed them in the lobby just outside the elevator by the restaurant, so the pests were not limited to either my room or floor. I think the flying gnats like to come out at night, and they like light colors because there were about 20 that landed on my freshly laundered cotton shirt that I had hanging in the evening. Needless to say, this entirely spoiled the concept of cooking and eating in the room with these pests, and I went to bed uneasy about what was going to land on me. I actually checked out a day earlier because I could no longer take it. I told the front desk clerk, who was very nice, but he seemed oblivious to the fact that I was leaving the hotel a night earlier because of this problem, and did not offer to reimburse me for the last night. This hotel needs to shut down one floor at a time and do a complete fumigation because this problem seems like it’s just going get worse.
