Abrupt unhelpfull breakfast staff booking you in to a table was very disrespectful so only went twice paid for all week but bad attitude.on both occasions. Main reception and other staff very polite. Main entrance Lift out of use all week resulting in other lift being very busy as now double amount of people using it. Thus 20 minutes waiting for it to have room to enter it on on one occasion.

Stayed for 3 days and had a nice time. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. Didn’t use room service but we did have breakfast and it was very good quality and a good variety of food. Room was spacious and while it didn’t have air conditioning there was a fan and the room wasn’t too hot even in the heatwave. Gave 4 stars rather than 5 because the bathrooms need updating and the bath could use a scrub. Would stay again :)

I always think that the Imperial is exciting upon arrival it's so full of character we always gave a good stay in the Imperial long may it continue it brightens up Blackpool.

Love this hotel stay many times good for the trams and shops close to the beach could ask for a better stay.

I have mixed opinions. The feeling I have come away with is it was ok but actually when asked how many stars to give, I have ticked good and excellent on some things. Parking - ok but can't book in advance so slight concern pre arrival as to whether there would be space. I did manage to get a space. Check-in - staff friendly and helpful. Welcomed us and gave us all necesarry info. Room - clean, spacious, plenty of storage but on first night it was so hot. Windows don't open. Very stuffy even though they do provide a fan. Didn't have a good nights sleep. Shower not great, water goes hot and cold. Shower head fixed high up. Toiletries rubbish - do not lather at all - bring your own. Breakfast - great breakfast. Good choice of food. Fresh fruit/yogurt/cereal/croissants/pancakes/cooked buffet breakfast. Scrambled egg lovely. We enjoyed it. Lifts in the hotel take ages. One had broken down but to be fair they had opened the reserve lift so was doing all they could with regards to this. Lovely old building but is in need of a little TLC. Not sure if i would return or not.

As beautiful as the Grade 1 listed building is for The Imperial Hotel ,the old musty smell on the 4th Floor is unavoidable for the age of this glorious building. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, unfortunately a couple might want to rethink their career choice.

Always a great place to stay.

For what it costs, this hotel is not good value for money. First point is £14 per night to park. Despite having the most expensive room, it is in a state of disrepair. We also did not get our room serviced - not acceptable. Breakfast was well managed in spite of the busy weekend. Have stayed here a few times over the years and it just doesn’t get any better. Will be staying elsewhere in future.

All I can say was the is one lift was out of order but will be going back

Requested a travel cot for my daughter £5 per night unfortunately it wasn't very clean but the receptionist did remove this from our bill when we raised the concern. Certainly needs an refresh. Breakfast was pretty good.

Grand old hotel, rooms spacious and clean, staff are lovely and very helpful. Only downside is the rooms can do with having more electric sockets to plug in appliances

I have stayed at The Imperial Hotel numerous times over the years mainly for its location and the facilities it offered such as pool and spa area and was willing to pay the added extra for these facilities. Sadly the pool and spa closed several years ago now so it lacks the competitive edge on other venues. There seems to be no added investment in the structure and the rooms and whilst I accept that many will say it reflects the past there is no reason why rooms cannot be updated and the attractiveness of the corridors made more appealing to the eye. Tape sticking carpets together on the landing areas does nothing to appeal to customers and just reflects a hotel in decline. Sadly too the car parking fees just keep rising for no reason whatsoever. I drove 230 miles from Wiltshire to Blackpool to stay in the Imperial and for the 3 nights was met with a bill for £42 which is a real insult - this has now put me off booking with The Imperial at any time in the future. The staff (as ever) are professional and always willing to give that added extra but the money I would have spent on food went on paying for the car parking fees.

The Imperial Hotel is a beautiful building with plenty of character and charm from years gone by. However, it is now in need of some upgrades and refurbishment. Our room was a good size, but it felt quite tired and dated nice sea from our room,On the positive side, the breakfast was very good, and the bar was a lovely place to relax. With a little modernisation, this hotel could truly return to its former glory.

2/10 poor stay Stayed here many times before and the standards have dropped year on year to the point we will now not return Service has dropped drastically, staff don’t seem as friendly as it used to be to be Breakfast was not hot and was greasy Windows need looking at as the wind was howling all night through them Such a shame as this use to be a lovely hotel… maybe the focus is no longer on the imperial as the hotel has been snapping up other hotels in the area and over stretching…. Staring to remind me of the Britannia Group

Good lifts and well maintained lobby and seating area.
