Excellent location, extremely crowded and €40 per night parking is two blocks away, so better plan your travel, roof top bar offers incredible views and the staff is very attentive, service was good, rooms are clean. Overall 5 stars if I ignore the hotel’s response to an incident where the elevator broke down and no staff was able to help us out, technicians were delayed and unable to help at that time, mind you it was only 23:30 and we had to call a rescue team ourselves (luckily a local was with us when the emergency happened) otherwise we would’ve been stuck still because our phone service isn’t local, therefore we can’t make that type of calls. We got offered a breakfast or a bottle of cava (which we accepted) for the incident.

The location and staff were great, good value for money given how central the location was. However the hotel quality and amenities make this hotel a 3-star at best; rooms are quite outdated and bathroom feels dark and stuffy.

The staff were so friendly & helpful, excellent location right on Plaza de Espana, Metro Line 3, so easy to get anywhere, and the rooftop pool and bar were what drew me - they didn’t disappoint - not least as I was there for a major heat wave. I’ll stay again when I come back next year for sure.

During check-in, I was told breakfast was included, but at checkout I was told otherwise. The complimentary Wi-Fi was also very unreliable, even after I was provided with a router. The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioner. Whenever it was running, there was a very loud noise coming through the wall, along with an electrical-like smell, as if the unit was overworking. It made the room uncomfortable and made it difficult to relax or sleep. Would I stay here again? Possibly. The rooftop was beautiful, the location is excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. However, the air conditioning issue significantly impacted my stay, and I couldn't wait to check out so I could finally get a good night's sleep in a cool, quiet room.

Great hotel with exceptional staff. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The hotel is in a good location. Loved my stay.

This is a very, very well-located hotel with a great rooftop bar (and no need to imbibe). It has a fabulous view of the city. The hotel is contemporary in design, but not as well thought out as it could be. There was no work surface in the room that made it easy to use a laptop. There is no shelf in the shower to hold anything. No in-room coffee pot. The "eye" for design conflicts with usability. More easily correctable is its little-less-than-acceptable housekeeping. The management needs to spend a tad amount of time supervising its staff. The same situation exists at the front desk. The hotel's management is just a little short of what it would take to make it great.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff

I had a wonderful stay at Dear Hotel Madrid. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The hotel itself is modern, attractive, and kept in excellent condition. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or requests. One of the best features of this hotel is its fantastic location. It is right in the heart of Madrid, on the city's "Broadway" (Gran Vía), and directly across from Plaza de España, making it easy to explore many of the city's attractions on foot. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Dear Hotel Madrid to anyone visiting Madrid.

The Property was well placed, right in the centre of Town. The Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Dear Hotel was a perfect boutique hotel located in the heart of Madrid. There are many restaurants and stores nearby and it’s close to the metro. The hotel has a very small pool but it was a perfect way to cool off after a day of exploring. The view from the rooftop was spectacular! The staff were very friendly and gave us recommendations of things to do. Gianmarco was truly the best! He always welcomed us with a smile. Our stay was nothing short of amazing.

Room size was perfect when travelling with a baby. Staff always so pleasant. Location was the best part!! Clean and luxury feeling. Breakfast was a good added bonus

Tolle Lage, schönes Zimmer mit Kühlschrank. Ich bekam als Entschuldigung, weil das Zimmer bei meiner Ankunft nicht fertig war (ich war viel zu früh dort, da mein Flug sehr früh war) eine Kaffeemaschine mit Kaffekapseln. Auch die Rezeption ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Es gibt kostenfreies Wasser, welches man auch für die Unternehmungen außerhalb des Hotels abfüllen kann. Die Lage ist super, direkt an der Ubahnstation und vielen Geschäften an der Gran Via. Ich hatte kein Frühstück im Hotel, habe immer außerhalb (meist beim starbucks gegnüber) Frühstück geholt :) Die einzige Kleinigkeit die anzumerken wäre, die aber nicht wirklich schlimm war, das der Kühlschrank etwas "laut" ist. Ich würde wiederkommen :)

Make sure you book a fully refundable room as they wouldn’t let us out of our reservation when our flight was changed by the airline eventhough we were 30 days out. What a scam!

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. However, the pool was small and not clean. And whoever heard of pushing two single beds together in lieu of a king sized bed?
