The best hotel I have been to in UK

Very clean , comfortable large bed , extra space can open suitcases( ground level room ) cheaper price and newer than other hotels in same area.

From the moment I entered this hotel, the service was extremely poor. The reception staff were chatting among themselves and ignoring guests. My room wasn’t ready even though I had requested an early check-in. They asked me to wait, and after an hour, the room was still not ready. When I went back to the reception to ask again, they finally found me a room, but only after I paid an extra £20. So, my one night stay ended up costing £302. At that price, I expected an amazing room, but instead, it was horrible and really run down. They didn’t even provide basic amenities like shower caps or cotton buds, the little extras you expect in a hotel charging that much per night. There was no kettle in the room; instead, you had to use a hot water machine in the bar, which had filthy mugs. I’m furious that I spent that much money. The whole experience and the sleep was horrible.

Voilà 1 hôtel où je ne remettrais probablement jamais les pieds. Quasi aucune présence humaine. Chambre peu fonctionnelle : aucun tiroir, pas de chaise (tout juste 1 pouf), le sèche-serviette dans les toilettes ;-(, … Petit-déjeuner de type continental (avec des produits globalement insipides), dans 1 salle genre réfectoire, bruyante. Le tout pour 1 tarif prohibitif au vu des prestations (350€ la nuit avec lit King-size).

The room had no seating, poor lighting, very little space to move around with luggage. The water closet was very tight for tall persons. The location was good. Not a good deal for the price.

Maybe it was just this price because of the fringe festival, but this was more of a $100 a night place tops. Beds were like a pile of rocks, could hear doors slamming closed up and down the halls at 7am, elevators out of service. The staff was lovely and everything was clean, but if the price had been much lower I would have been happier.

Terrible customer service

Great hotel in Edinburgh. Not far from Princess St and local attractions. Room was tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was good

Habitación muy pequeña Desayuno ofrecen lo mismo todos los días. No hay variedad.

They stored luggage for free on check in and check out. 10 min walk to the Main Street

The rooms are small and the bathroom is made up of a cubicle for the toilet and a cubicle for the shower which are in the bedroom. No door to the bathroom. You can't separate the lights for the WC only. Not well thought out. Bed was comfortable but small. 4'6" Staff were all nice

We stayed at YOTEL Edinburgh in a Premium Room. The room was bright with a nice view, and the hotel is located in a very central spot, which was definitely convenient. Unfortunately, there were several issues that really affected our stay. The entire hotel constantly had a strange food smell lingering in the corridors and common areas. Inside the room, there was an unpleasant sewage odor coming from the sink, which is awkwardly placed right next to the bed. The air conditioning system was frustrating, as it automatically reset itself to 19 degrees, blowing cold air, which was not always comfortable. The room also felt damp, and the white sheets had stains on them when we arrived. The room itself was quite small, with little to no space to store luggage or personal belongings. Housekeeping did not seem thorough – it looked like the cleaner just made the bed without really cleaning, and our glasses were never replaced. Despite requesting twin beds, we were never given them. We also asked for a second duvet, but were told one was not available. Another downside was the constant noise and crowds at the entrance, even late at night, which made it difficult to relax. The hotel also does not provide any shared computers for guests, which we found surprising. Overall, for the high price we paid, the experience was disappointing. The location and view were positives, but the comfort and service did not meet expectations.

It was a late booking and we were offered a special needs room (bigger, and a hospital type bathroom without a separation between toilet and shower) or a room without a window (is that legal?). The room was below ground level of hotel entrance, beside the wheelchair ramp. If you tried hard, you could almost see the sky! A big noisy in the am. We were asked to pay right at book-in. Unusual. We were told since we booked the cheapest room ($400 CDN/night!) we didn't have much choice. It was the only room available at Hotels.com by the way. A few other things were a bit different but manageable.

4 day visit to the Fringe. Hotel was in an excellent central location. Neat and tidy and the room was a great size Perfect for us.

Staff is really helpful specially frontdesk / recception staff.
