Flights from Perth open the door to plenty of good getaways, whether you’re thinking of tropical beaches, big city buzz, or a quick trip interstate. Perth Airport keeps things easy with direct routes to heaps of top spots, from Bali and Bangkok to Melbourne and Sydney. It’s well connected, not just in the air, but on the ground too, with train, bus, taxi, and rideshare options sorted. So whether you’re flying out for work, play, or something in between, Perth is the perfect place to start.
Flying overseas or cross-country? T1 is your go-to for most international and long-haul domestic flights. Major carriers like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Virgin Australia operate here. It’s got the works—lounges, duty-free, free WiFi, a play area for kids, and easy train access via Airport Central Station. The Skybridge walkway links straight to T2, so transfers are simple.
T2 handles regional and domestic flights, mostly with QantasLink and Alliance. It’s smaller than the others but easy to navigate, with fast check-in and access to the same train station as T1. T2 is ideal for FIFO workers and short-haul flyers. T1 and T2 also share the same precinct, so connections between them are a quick walk via the covered Skybridge.
Jetstar and some Qantas domestic flights use T3. It’s part of the older terminal precinct, but still has lounges, shops, and places to charge up. It’s quieter than T1, which makes it a solid pick for stress-free departures. Need to connect between precincts? The free terminal transfer bus gets you across in about 10 minutes.
T4 is Qantas’ main hub for domestic flights. It’s right next to T3, so there’s no need to haul bags too far. You’ll find the Qantas Club and Business Lounge here, plus quick security and loads of parking nearby. Taxis and rideshares are just out front, making it easy to rock up, check in, and take off.
Located in the T3/T4 precinct, General Aviation is where you’ll find charter flights and private aircraft; not your usual commercial carriers. It’s a key hub for regional and FIFO travel. There’s a taxi rank nearby and good road access if you're coming in from outside Perth.
Perth Airport is well connected, so getting there is simple whether you're travelling light or loaded with luggage.
Flying out of Perth? The cheapest fares usually pop up mid-year, especially in July. Booking at least four months ahead gives you a better shot at low prices. Avoid booking around school holidays, Christmas, or long weekends as they’re peak travel times and fares shoot up fast. Keep flexible and stay ahead of the crowds to score the best deals.
