• Rideshare (Didi): Handy if you have the app and can communicate with the driver. Not great if you’re new to town or don’t speak Mandarin.

Visa and passport requirements for Australians flying to Beijing

From 1 July 2024 to 31 December 2025, Aussies can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, or visiting mates. You’ll still need a valid passport, and border officers make the final call.
