The hotel was quite calm and cozy. The room had a great view and was well-organized, clean, and roomy. The bathroom was equipped with all the necessities, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were courteous and always smiled when they greeted us. The process of checking in and out was quick and easy. The location was really handy. Great location, it is between Darling Harbour and Townhall train station, both just about 5 minutes walk away. I love that the toilet includes a Japanese style bidet toilet seat, so that is refreshing and important for personal hygiene! As the hotel is near Town Hall, there are a lot of eateries nearby and you can also walk for less than 10 minutes to Macdonalds and KFC that are operating 24 hours! Many great food are located in Chinatown in which you can walk just about 10 minutes! I want to share as well that the staff there were friendly!

The hotel is located not too far from a train/metro system and close to many known sector and landmarks of Sydney. There is full of stores and restaurant around except liquor store (if you are interested in this). The hotel was clean, looks busy and my room was really good. Got an update, and it included a washing/drying machine, a separate room and nice setup. Really good room. Only big thing, one elevator was on repair, and the other one, unreliable, so, we needed to use the fire escape stairs to go outside, which bring us to the street. Other than that. I liked it

Visited from Canada. Property is old, one elevator was not working for all 3 nights I stayed. Big lineups for one elevator which was working. Staff were courteous and helpful. Yet does not give the experience of the price I paid for.

Only one elevator was working in this 20-storey hotel during our entire six-day stay. It seemed the hotel believed that putting up a notice saying guests should expect a **5–10 minute wait** was an acceptable substitute for actually repairing the lift. Throughout our stay, there was no visible sign that any repair work was being carried out, and it had a significant negative impact on our experience. Using the stairs was not a practical alternative. The stairwell exit was marked as an emergency exit, and guests were understandably reluctant to use it because opening the door would trigger the fire alarm. To use the stairs to go upstairs, guests had to ask reception for access through the staff office, walk outside to the street, and then enter the stairwell from another entrance. This was inconvenient and unnecessarily time-consuming. The situation was even worse in the mornings. Not only were many guests waiting for the single working elevator, but the housekeeping staff were also using it with their large cleaning carts. We even saw one housekeeper press buttons for five different floors, peek out on each floor without getting off, and continue riding the lift. On another occasion, housekeeping staff squeezed into an already overcrowded morning elevator with their cleaning equipment. This wasn't just an issue with the housekeeping staff's behaviour—it reflected poor hotel management and a lack of proper operational planning and staff training.

I recently stayed at YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites after booking a double room through Expedia. A few months before our trip, I called the hotel directly to upgrade the booking to a two-bedroom apartment for three people. I was assured the change had been recorded, but unfortunately, when we arrived late on a Friday night, only the original double room was available. To their credit, the staff did their best to help. They quickly provided a temporary fold-out bed so we had somewhere to sleep for the night, even though it made the room very cramped. We were considering finding alternative accommodation the next morning, but the team came through and moved us into the two-bedroom apartment we had originally requested. The rooms were clean, the bed linen was fresh, and the beds were comfortable. The staff remained friendly, professional and helpful throughout, despite the frustrating situation. The only other downside was that one lift was out of service for the entire weekend, resulting in waits of up to 10 minutes. At one point both lifts were unavailable, meaning we had to use the stairs. My biggest takeaway is to make any booking changes through your original booking platform, such as Expedia, rather than contacting the hotel directly. Overall, once the issues were resolved, we enjoyed a comfortable stay thanks to the helpful staff.

Had to pay extra merchant fees, additional to Expedia fees and not disclosed while booking. Elevators were down and had to walk 14 flights of stairs everyday to get to our room with luggage and a baby. No offer to help and no notice about this.

Good central location to see all the key landmarks. The room was smaller than I pictured and we barely had any floor space for our suitcases. Bathroom was nice but had to ask for shampoo and conditioner to be filled. Our neighbours were quite loud late at night. Overall, it was a good stay.

No lifts worked at check in or that night when we got home. Had to walk up and down 20 floors to get to pool, spa, sauna and room. Next morning 1 lift worked for the entire hotel... Bed was incredibly hard.

This is, without question, the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. I genuinely cannot understand how this place has positive reviews. I stayed here for one night with my mother and my baby, and it was a complete disaster from the moment we arrived. The room was filthy and absolutely reeked. The smell was so foul it was like sleeping in a sewer. It was overpowering, disgusting, and made me want to leave the second we walked in. The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. It was unbelievably uncomfortable, and to top it off, there were only two pathetic pillows for the entire bed. A decent night's sleep was impossible. Whoever is making decisions about this hotel clearly has their priorities backwards. Instead of wasting money on a fancy toilet, maybe spend it on basic cleanliness, comfortable beds, and facilities that guests actually care about. The car park is an absolute nightmare. I specifically called before arriving to ask whether my car would fit and was assured there would be "heaps of room." That was completely false. The spaces are ridiculously tight, and I ended up scraping my car trying to get out because of the misleading information I was given. The staff were nice but acted like they couldn't care less. They seemed totally unaware of what was going on and showed no interest in resolving the issue. I woul never stay here again even if I was given.it for free.

Do NOT stay here! Baby cockroaches in some rooms. The first room had water that was scalding hot!! Unbelievably hot where my 6 year old was in tears and crying. The staff and manager told me to bathe my kids and myself at the pool showers at night, on a different floor and a public shower. I was not letting my boys go into a public shower and sons should not be in the women’s shower. The manager came and after 10+ minutes of trying to find the right spot, he asked if the water was acceptable. If moved even a slight bit, it would be scalding hot again. That is how we showered the first night. It took hours to get my kids calm and go to bed. The next morning we were told to bring our luggage down and move rooms. Great…except we don’t have time to pack up, but we need to shower, so we missed going to the Blue Mountains! We moved rooms with a working shower. The second room had cockroaches!!! I told the front desk and showed videos and pictures. They did nothing. I asked for a refund and a discount and nothing!
