This is our third year-end vacation in Malang in a row, and we always stay at the Alimar Hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable, perfect for our family with small children. The hotel is also close to Pasar Besar and other shopping areas, and it's not too far to the Kajoetangan tourist area. The service and staff are also friendly, even when it's crowded. Hotel Shalimar in Malang is a beautiful hotel with a historic, colonial feel. It's located in a pleasant and clean neighborhood, which makes for an especially pleasant stay. The hotel exudes ambiance and tranquility. A nice surprise was the hidden bar, which featured live music the evening of our stay. That really added something extra to the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is my second stay at this guest house. The room is clean, the bathroom is clean, and the environment is clean too. Keep it up! :)
Close to traditional culinary delights (tongseng, rawon, nasi bhuk), a pharmacy, a bank, health facilities on Jalan Kawi, and a mosque. I'll be back if I ever visit Malang.
