IndiGo: An Introduction
IndiGo (IATA code: 6E) is an Indian airline founded by InterGlobe Enterprises in 2006 and began official operations on August 4, 2006. As a leading airline in India, IndiGo uses an efficient model and offers low fares. IndiGo has received a license to operate international flight services after five years of operation. IndiGo currently flies to over 70 destinations within India and 20 international destinations. Among them are Thailand, Nepal, Oman, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. Based at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, the airline has received many awards in the aviation and travel industry. One of them was winning the best low-fare airline award in 2011 at Skytrax Central Asia.

Economy Class
Although known as a low-cost airline, IndiGo has always been committed to providing the best service for its passengers. Until recently, IndiGo only had an economy class. Passengers in economy class can have a pleasant long-haul flying experience as they are provided with comfortable seats.

The uniforms worn by stewards and flight attendants of IndiGo Airlines have a simple design but give a smart impression. IndiGo entrusted the design of their flight crew uniform to renowned Indian designer Rajesh Pratap Singh. Dominated by a dark blue color, IndiGo flight attendants wear a one-piece uniform with a skirt length slightly above the knee. The IndiGo flight attendants look even more attractive with the addition of berets, belts, and small scarves in matching colors. The scarf is tied around the neck with a variety of flowers on the side. The IndiGo steward wears a white shirt with a navy blue jacket and trousers. The IndiGo steward uniform also features a stylish and professional design.

Infant Passenger Policy (0 - 2 Years)
- Infants under the age of 2 years from the date of travel cannot travel alone and must sit on the lap of an adult.
- Baby seats or strollers are not allowed in the aircraft cabin.
- Infants are not eligible for free baggage allowance.
- Infants up to 2 years old pay travel expenses
Child Passenger Policy
- Unaccompanied children under 12 years old must report 2 hours before domestic departure and 4 hours before international departure.
- The child ticket price is the same as the adult ticket price.
- Parents are required to fill out a signed form.
- Parents must remain at the airport until the plane departs
Pregnant Passenger Policy
- Pregnant women can travel up to the end of their 36th week if there are no previous health issues. If there have been previous complications, pregnant women should not travel beyond 32 weeks.
- Pregnant women must provide a certificate of fitness to fly from a gynecologist no more than 7 days before departure.
Disabled Passenger Policy
- Passengers with disabilities can use manual wheelchairs to board the aircraft. The wheelchair will then be stored in the baggage storage area.
- Cabin crew will provide assistance to the toilet but cannot provide assistance inside the toilet.

IndiGo History
IndiGo was started in 2006 by Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises. On August 4, 2006, IndiGo first operated with a service flying from New Delhi to Imphal via the Guwahati route. In December 2010, IndiGo was ranked India's third largest airline, replacing Air India, India's state-owned airline.
In Asia, IndiGo is the second fastest-growing low-fare airline after Indonesia's Lion Air. Furthermore, by the end of 2019, IndiGo became the first airline to have 1500 daily flights and a fleet of more than 250 aircraft. Apart from New Delhi, IndiGo has several additional bases in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
