Caribbean Villas Hotel

Unfortunate that we picked the month when seaweed takes over the beaches but hotel is clean,staff friendly and food served was very good

Great location, amenities, the beach and the amazing staff.

This hotel was great for us. We stayed on the second floor in a standard room. AC worked great! Water pressure was amazing. Hotel was very quiet at night (end of march). There are two nice pools and a bar, where we ate a few times during our week long stay. I loved the belizean chicken and rice. The prices were reasonable. They offer beach towels and free coffee in the morning. The beach is great although we stayed during the beginning of sargassum season and although the staff was cleaning the beach every morning, the water was not swimmable (winds were not helping the situation). The spa was not open one time we tried to use it unfortunately. Overall we’d stay here again.

Nice, quiet location, easy beach walk to the heart of San Pedro. Friendly staff and beautiful water views made the stay. The rooms are a little dated, but very clean and the mattress on our king was very comfortable. The restaurant and bar had great food and drinks and exceptionally awesome staff. We will definitely return.

The location, staff, and cleanliness was great.

Caribbean Villas has everything we needed. It was quiet, clean, and it has the most beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. We walked out of our room and into the turquoise water every day.

The Beach Bar on the property was excellent

As described

This is a funky beach hotel. Don't expect the Ritz and you won't be disappointed. The location was awesome and the ambience was great. We loved that they had free coffee down in the restaurant/bar. The open air restaurant/bar was really nice. We could probably have eaten there every day and been perfectly happy, but we tried to eat around town. FYI Blue Water Grill, Ramones, and Caramba were all really good.

The receptionist was so accommodating and refunded our second nights stay after we saw the property. She was so nice, however the bar staff were some of the rudest hospitality we've ever encountered. They blatantly ignored us making every drink before ours. One did not put in our orders for dinner in together so I was done eating before my mom got her food then he canceled it not offering any other accomodations. The food was terrible. The bar server then avoided giving me my check where this was the first time I have ever not tipped someone. The pool, grounds, and beach loungers were all extremely run down and unkempt. This was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Do not recommend.

It was very close to town, but far enough away to be quiet. Great staff, convenient on site restaurant and bar, easy parking for golf carts, small but clean pools. Beach was small, but chairs available.

The resort in general was great. The people and the restaurant were wonderful. The Villa was not worth the amount we paid. The bathroom had a lot of water damage and mold in the shower floor. The furniture was uncomfortable

Safe, friendly atmosphere. Wonderful staff - bartender Daniel was fantastic ... and Monica. Felt at home there and if I ever go back to Ambergris Caye, would definitely stay there again.

I have been traveling for a while and I have NEVER been treated the way I was at this place. We arrived late and the office was closed so a security guard let us into a room that looked nothing like what they show on the app or their website. But we thought (maybe because we are late, he gave us whatever room is empty) when I go to the office the next morning I greet the receptionist, give her my name and try to explain that we got in late and that we were given the wrong room; her reply immediately was "no is not the wrong room that is what you paid for" then I said no it is not, that is not the room I made the reservation for... then her reply was "what did you expect for a $140.00 a night" that remark was so disrespectful, and I was getting upset so I asked for the manager just for her to tell me that she still wasn't in. I told her I would comeback after getting breakfast and didn't even let me finish and closed the door on us and told the people in the office "excuse these crazy guests" A few hours went by and we got back to the hotel, I really didn't want to speak to the receptionist ( I hate confrontation) so I asked one of the housekeepers for the manager and directed me to her. There I was thinking the manager was going to help me solved the problem, hear my side of the story and accommodate or upgrade us but she was way worst than the receptionist because the receptionist is young and I my self have two young adults so I know how that can be but this lady is awful.

Property needs complete rehabilitation. Unusuual amount of bugs, resulting in large bites during the night. Rooms are filthy and offer no storage. Bar at restaurant is unsanitary.

This was my and my wifes first time visiting Balize. we have traveled to many Islands, and we usually don't go back to the same destination, but Belize will be a return trip for sure. specifically Caribbean Villas. the property is absolutely beautiful with a layed back, chill vibe. the staff at the villas and beach bar were so friendly without feeling fake. they joked with us, laughed with us, and made everyone feel like you're hanging out at your local spot. the drinks and food were great. the kitchen is small for the amount of seating at the restaurant, so food does take a little while to come out, but is better than expected for a hotel beach bar. remember have a little patience, your on island time. the beach was raked clean every morning and afternoon. the pool decks were a little worn out, so water shoes or slides are a good idea. no one wants a splinter on vacation. it is probably on their list for repairs. we stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for the first two nights and there was plenty of room for a family or group of 5-7, then we moved to one of the single rooms and it was plenty spacious for me and my wife. one thing I always complain about is water pressure... not here, great water pressure, and as hot as you can handle. there's a new supermarket right next door, and plenty of places within walking distance for food and fun, and if you rent a golf cart you can check out the whole island ( highly recommended ). we will be returning with our kids next winter.
