Despite of the location the place is quiet and nice to spend couples of days with family outside of the busy and expensive downtown. Parking and safe surroundings.

The room was fantastic and clean, beds were comfortable, pool area was clean, the staff was incredible after we realized my son left his beloved Nintendo there and we got it back!

Bel hôtel, chambre spacieuse et bien situé par rapport aux différentes attractions de Toronto. Un peu près de autoroute mais pas très bruyant. Le petit déjeuner est offert à tous, mais il manquait parfois de produits les matins occupés.

The outside building and public areas have been refreshed. Next should be the rooms. Great staff; very helpful!

Everything was 10/10. Very clean and new and nice service

The room was great, spacious for a family of 5. Kids enjoyed the pool and absolutely loved the pancake maker at breakfeast.

We stayed for 3 nights, very comfortable rooms, clean and well kept. We would definitely stay here again! The only things I would like to see made a bit better, cooler a/c system and more healthier (fruits) breakfast with bit more space to move around the counters.

The property was clean, tidy and in a great location for our specific needs on the trip. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast area was quite modern with a variety of sitting arrangements and a great outdoor space. The hotel is a very quiet neighborhood and safety was never an issue for us. It is close to major roads and public transportation. The staff were awesome and we were explained the parking charge during the checking process. We didn't get to use the pool and thus I can't speak about it. Lots of families were there during our stay. Overall, if we are back to Markham, we would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was great. Lots of options. Room layout was great. It looked great and showed well when we entered the place however we noticed that it could have been cleaned better. We have 2 young toddlers and found old sliced apples on the floor in one corner, empty pill packets at the base of one bed and then a button under the table. We could also see a film of dust on the fridge which was low enough that I could see at my height (5’7). Overall not hateful but could have been better.

Bathroom had no exhaust. No housekeeping. Worst breakfast.

All was very nice and homey

The suite was spacious and the staff were very helpful. Both toilets in our suite clogged the same day we got there and they gave us a plunger to fix it. It got clogged again so they had staff come and handle it the second time which worked. Good stay otherwise, particularly for large families.

My family of 2 adults and 4 children stayed for 7 nights. The breakfast was mediocre, with little options and no fresh fruit options at all - except for bruised apples and bananas. Room service options were literally non-existent. Parking was $5 daily in Richmond Hill/Markham area, while mostly other hotels innthearea including Delta was free parking. Nobody cleans up your room until the 7th day apparently (as we inquired on the 5th day), and we had to keep asking for towels and garbage to be taken away. Advertised that they have cribs, turns out only old dirty playpens that were not stored in a bag. The rooms were borderline clean, outdated and far from looking like the photos online. The showers were dirty, the fans made loud noises, carpets were stained, and one of the toilets in our 2 bedroom/2 bath was not working properly and we had to call maintenence twice, and it still had issues on the day we left. There were other tenants smoking weed in their rooms, and it travelled to the hallways. Lack of security, and easy to go in and out of the hotel. The gym was small with limited equipment, the pool was outdated and the laundry machines had multiple issues - we had to dry 4 hours for our load. We checked for bed bugs - luckily none. However, we all had bad sinus allergies and itchy skin the entire stay. The water was hard and air circulation was horrible - our baby had hives and was uncomfortable anytime he spent too long in the room. Won't book again!

First time at a sonesta and its a hidden gem for those traveling with family's and it will now be at the top of my places to stay list.

Great place to stay - especially if you have a dog. Clean rooms, great breakfast and helpful staff.
