The hotel facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. The carpet was extremely dirty and visibly damaged. There was also a noticeable buildup of dust on the airconditioning vents. The TV remote control barely worked.
I booked this hotel because of its 8.8 rating on Expedia, but after checking in, I honestly can’t imagine how a hotel like this could receive such a high score. It has made me seriously question the credibility of Expedia’s ratings. There are many much better hotels nearby, and aside from being close to the subway, this hotel offers nothing of value.

The room had a very strong smell of smoke, and I expressed my concerns to the front desk staff. They arranged for a cleaning lady to come to our room and spray air freshener, but that was all they did. Another terrible experience occurred during breakfast at their cafe buffet when I saw a huge cockroach crawling near the coffee machine. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay.

This is at best a 3 star property. “Executive” lounge and offerings were a joke. It exists, but does not live up the star rating.
First room smelled of smoke even though whole floor was non-smoking.
Requested a rollaway bed - less comfortable than the sofa, it bowed down like a hammock.
Concierge could point to area restaurants, but not much else.
Only benefit is proximity to MRT station and several shopping malls including IN TOWN which had great food options.
Will skip this property and other Wyndhams going forward. Terrible experience for family trip

Enforcement of rule/regulation.
I requested and got a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor. But my first afternoon nap was interrupted by a strong cigaret smoke that poured in from the connected room next door. When I questioned the smoke detector system, the staff lightly mentioned that it was not functional. This is a safety issue! And when I pointed out the notice of government regulation on non-smoking and fine of 500 yen, the manager responded that they had no authority to stop the offender! Is it not the right of property owner to enforce regulation within their property?
The safety deposit box has a hole for a power line connecting the inside of the box to the outside socket. What happens if there is a power outage? Can't open the box or the box will open by itself? Weird - I have never seen anything like this in 60 years of travelling.
The room is rather dimmed.
The house keeping staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful!
